Barefoot bridesmaids?

I am getting married in two weeks (in the garden of a plantation-style house). When my 'maids and I were shoe shopping yesterday, they requested that they be barefoot for the ceremony. I don't really care -too much ;)- what they wear, but I am wondering if that would look strange with the groomsmen wearing brown dress shoes. The boys will be wearing casual khaki-colored tuxes with no vest/tie and the top button of their shirts undone.

I think it would go well since the venue is a plantation style house and the wedding seems casual enough. It sets a tone for fun and enjoyment which is what everyone wants for their wedding and reception. Congrats.

My two year old has a three piece suit to wear to his grandma's for Christmas tommorow, but no dress shoes...?

My husband lost his job almost three months ago, but just recently got another job. This job is not paying that well, but I am thanking God up above that He gave my husband this job. Money is extremely tight. And my friend bought my little boy a three piece suit, however, he does not have any dress shoes to go with it. He has a pair of brown Sketchers(they kind of look like clogs) and two pair of tennis shoes. Now, my question is, would the brown pair of clogs/sketchers pass for dress shoes? What would you do in this situation? It's Christmas... its a special time and I want both of my children to look nice. Thank you so much for the advice and I wish everyone one of you happy holidays!
The suit is very dark blue, it almost looks black

I would go with the sketchers and a pair of dark colored socks. If you are taking pics take off the shoes and the socks will look nice without making the shoe issue stand out.

Surprisingly, your dress code is a little more lenient than mine back in high school. (And I only graduated three years ago!)

In a school with a strict uniform, students learn to pick up on minute details. Pick your earrings, necklaces, and bracelets with care. Choose a different eyeshadow color (nothing too bright!) every day.

We also showed off our style by carefully breaking the smaller uniform rules. We would roll our shirt sleeves (oxford shirts, we weren't allowed to wear polos) or unbutton an extra button. We rolled the hem of our skirt and untucked our shirts AS SOON as the bell rang. We had our sweaters taken in so they would be a little smaller.

Also, our skirts weren't allowed to be more than 4" above our knees. Some teachers would make us kneel down and measure how far off the ground the skirt was. Talk about embarrassing!

... But we survived.

Yes, occasionally we got "pink slips" (uniform violations), but it's not like that ruined our lives. And on school events (plays, cook-outs, etc) where we didn't have to be in uniform, everyone was dressed to the nine!

It's tough, but you'll be in college soon enough and you can wear whatever you want. Hang in there!

How can I scene-ize my dress code? (Be willing to read the whole thing)?

Please find any loopholes possible and tell me how I can be scene in this ugly dress code.
