I need new shoes so am wondering what shoes are in fashion at the moment. I have converse shoes at the moment...
Do different shoes associate you to different 'groups', I hear converse are emo? If you know please tell me :) - not that I care, I'll buy what I think looks nice but I'm interested.

Most times it really depends on your attitude, peoples' view of you, how you dress etc. If you like a shoe I don't think it really matters what people think :)

I recently found that my grandparents have given me $500 to do back to school clothing shopping. I am wondering what I should get. I am athletic and slightly preppy. I usually shop at AE or athletic stores.
I don't want anything from Hollister or A&F as I don't want to see myself as a d-bag wannabe california surfer (I live in Canada).
So what should I pick up (shoes?, pants?, shirts?, hoodies?)

My son is going to public middle school for the first time in a few weeks. It just occurred to me (duh!) that he needs clothes since he's been wearing uniforms up 'til now.
Looking back on jr. high, I know fashion choices are really important and he doesn't know them, either. What sneakers, jeans, shirts, etc., are in style right now? He's pretty quiet kid so nothing too flashy. He'll develop his own style soon, but I want to start him on the right foot. I appreciate your advice!
Skater clothes if he can skate, if not, don't do that , he'll be a poser, don't do the whole prep thing, major turn off. Um. maybe jeans a just normal tees, no tanks or sponge bob or anything like that , stay away from nascar, and try to lean towards more BMX type of thing. as for shoes, DC etnies emerica. go to a Tilly's they have good clothes.
