Boys Running Shoes

I'm right in the middle of kids and mens and there seems to be no selection for me.

If you are running distance you will need a bigger size shoe so your toes do not run against the front of the shoe.

Remember that cheap is not always the best thing for running shoes.

Tryt going to a sporting store and have them check out to see your style of running.

I have been to the sports shop and had my feet assessed and they recommended a running shoe for me. It's £72, which is more than I'd hoped (although I realise it's the going price for running shoes). I've had a look round and as I have quite small feet I've found the same brand and size online in a boys shoe for £35- less than half the price! Will it be exactly the same, or is there a physical difference in design between boys and women's running shoes?

There is a difference, mostly in the width of the shoe - women's feet tend to be a bit thinner.

If the boys shoe is online for half the price then somewhere there will be a reputable web site selling the girls shoe cheap as well. I don't like this approach - the shop that you visited spent their time and knowledge to find and recommend the best trainers for you and I have a personal opinion that they should be rewarded for their troubles. If the £75 is a bit too much, visit the shop again and see if they have something similar but a bit cheaper.


If no one bought their running kit in shops then there would be no shops. If there was no shops there would be no one to advice runners of the best trainers for their feet. This would eb OK for experienced runners who know what to look for but for a novice runner this can have disastrous effects - the wrong shoe causes an injury with use and the novice runner stops running - both are bad for this person. So I would say to keep going to the shops to buy your stuff from someone who can give you advice face to face based on you. Rant over, sorry for that!

I am looking for a running shoes for my son. He is into sprints and the races up to a mile ( as I posted earlier in another question). I am looking for running shoes with spikes. He wears a size 2 1/2. I have looked everywhere on the internet and cannot find anything. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

you have sprinting shoes custum made but for the mile any comfortable shoes will do
