i am finding it hard to find my son a pair of sprinting spiked running shoes for up coming track and field events.Can anyone help me, thanks

I'm probably gonna do the running events and our schools track is paved.

It depends what type of running event you're going to do. Are you going to do sprints or distance? In terms of sprints, you should have spikes, etc. For distance, you need "distance spikes" which aren't as long/sharp, and have more spongy soles.

I run the 4 by 200m...800m...4 by 800m in track. Which shoes would you prefer me buying- that are comfortable and light.

I have gone down to 2 choices
which is a better choice?

a) ASICS Women's Hyper-Rocket 3
b) Nike Men's Zoom Miler

is it okay to wear guys shoes for track? I'm size 8 in girls, but if If the milers are the better shoes, I'll have to wear guys shoes. Are girls and boys shoes different? like in structure.

Since you do two middle distace races and one sprinting race, you should get the Nike Milers. They only come in men's so to convert womans sizes to mens just subtract 1.5 sizes, you would be a mens 6.5.

Both indoor and outdoor running??

lets see ive bought shoes w/ spikes (also when do i put in the spikes?), underarmor both pants and shirt (what do i wear over it--a sweatshirt). what do i wear indoors then--t-shirt and shorts or a special track shirt?

-Get a good pair of trainers too. go to a fleet feet if there's one by you. they'll size you and choose a shoe based on how you run
-Spikes: put them in whenever, but if you're worried about them poking hole in your clothes while they're in your track bag, them leave them in a baggie until your race. If you do leave them in, be sure to tighten them (not too much!) before your race.
-underarmour: if it's short sleeve don't wear anything over it, if it's long sleeve wear a short sleeve and a sweatshirt if it's really cold. if your pants are spandex, wear shorts. if they're loose, i suggest also getting running shorts. nike makes good ones.
-Your school will give you a track uniform to wear on your meets. if it's cold and you're going to wear underarmour under it, but sure it's your school colors or you might get disqualified (spikes don't matter)
