Answers

Don't little boys look cute when their dressed up in a dress shirt, dress shorts, dress shoes and socks?

I dressed my one year old up like this for a wedding and he was looked so cute. Can't wait to do it again.

Aaawww..... I am sure your little boy must be looking cute!

They look so adorable and handsome. I dressed my son up last week and I couldnt stop taking my eyes of him. I keep thinking in my mind about different ways to dress him up.

I am looking to buy some suspenders for him with dress shirt and dress pants and socks.

I also like those sleeveless v-cut sweaters. they look so cute.

and also striped overalls with newspaper boy cap.

For Target Baby pre-walk shoes is there a certain age for size?

I was shopping at Target.com looking for some dress shoes for my little boy. I found some but the sizes say 2m, 3m, etc..Can anyone help me understand if they are reg sizes or not.

M-medium
W-wide (usually wide toed)

0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6- newborn, 1 mth, 2 mth, 3 mth, 4 mth, 5 mth, 6 mth.

and you cannot always go by months. every child's foot is different, you have to check the size up close and personal.

ALSO, for a baby not yet walking, get a shoe that has a soft canvas or cloth type sole. you DO NOT want to use a real shoe yet, it can actually hurt their feet and impede development.
to be quiet honest w/you, i never bought shoes for my kids until they were walking well, and it was freezing outside, they had sandals for trips to the park, but usually ran around barefoot during the summer.
a child's foot grow SO fast that shoes are just not economical or practical, and they CAN cause deformities if not changed out frequently w/correctly fitting shoes.

Why would these parents dress thier son as a girl ?

I work currently at a children's portrait studio. And yesterday my last sitting of the night a couple came in with a little boy. Not that wierd. They said they needed to change him, ad i said ok, and ina few minutes they came back with the little boy dressed as a little girl! In a pink dress, little white shoes, and a ribbon in his hair. I was confused. Why would they do that to their child? I asked them what kind of backgrounds they wanted,. they picked the garden one. I aske dmy supervisor if we could even do that, and she said yes. It was strange, but yeas. they bought a hundred dollars worth of photos of a cross dressed boy. And it was not the boy's idea. He was protesting the entire time about it.

Why would parents do that? Doesnt that count as some type of abuse?

If it's against his will, it's called petticoating. A form of emotional abuse.

Where do you shop for clothes for your little one? Boy did I ever get a surprise yesterday!?

I'm usually a Walmart, Zellers, Children's Place shopper but while on a clothes buying shopping trip for my kids ages 16 months and 4 months yesterday, I wandered into a Gymboree store for the first time. I fell in love with a beautiful spring dress for my daughter. I snapped it up along with the matching tights and the cutest pair of shoes. I didn't really look at the price tags as I had a few hundred dollars to spend and just assumed they couldn,t be that much. Boy, was I wrong!..for a dress, tights, shoes and one little spring outfit.. $200.00!! I nearly fell over at the cash register. I can see this kind of overpriced stuff at baby Gap or something but I had no idea Gymboree was equally overpriced. I mean $50.00 for a little girls size 3 pair of shoes?? is that not nuts? What's nuts is I actually bought them, justifying to myself that spending that kind of money occasionally on kid's clothes was okay. I am having some buyers remorse today however, (especially since my anticipated $200.00 shopping trip turned into a $400.00 one) Am I just cheap or does anyone else think that some places are just unbelievably expensive considering they are kids clothes that will be outgrown in no time? I am thinking about returning the shoes and outfit (almost $150.00 for that stuff) and getting my money back and going and buy a $10.00 or $20.00 pair of shoes.. Would you spend that kind of money on kids stuff?
I think I'll keep the dress and tights and return the shoes and spring outfit. For $150.00 I could buy several spring outfits in most stores I go to! Thanks for letting me know I'm not just a cheapskate, lol.
apples, I agree. I go to a store called Once Upon A Child that does the same thing. I don't know what I was thinking actually buying the stuff yesterday. I am keeping the dress and tights but returning the remainder of the items today. Thanks to the Yahoo community for the reality check!

hahaha lol yeah I love Gymboree but I've only ever bought clearance stuff from there. and even some of that is too expensive.

My two year old has a three piece suit to wear to his grandma's for Christmas tommorow, but no dress shoes...?

My husband lost his job almost three months ago, but just recently got another job. This job is not paying that well, but I am thanking God up above that He gave my husband this job. Money is extremely tight. And my friend bought my little boy a three piece suit, however, he does not have any dress shoes to go with it. He has a pair of brown Sketchers(they kind of look like clogs) and two pair of tennis shoes. Now, my question is, would the brown pair of clogs/sketchers pass for dress shoes? What would you do in this situation? It's Christmas... its a special time and I want both of my children to look nice. Thank you so much for the advice and I wish everyone one of you happy holidays!
The suit is very dark blue, it almost looks black

I would go with the sketchers and a pair of dark colored socks. If you are taking pics take off the shoes and the socks will look nice without making the shoe issue stand out.

Here is a pic of the shoe and price tag. The price tag on the pair I bought shows as $13.98, but at the register it rang up $7 which is 75% off, used the $5 off coupon and paid $2!! I went back a bit later with another coupon and scored another pair for $2 as well. It’s only the boy’s sizes that are on sale – sizes 7 and up are still regular price.

I’d love to know the size range on these too. Is it little kid type boy sizes? Or the type of boy sizes that translate into smaller footed adult women’s sizes? I’m in desperate need of a pair of sneakers for myself, and wearing a size 8 womens means I can fit into a size 5 or 6 boys shoe sometimes. In fact that’s what most of the sneakers I’ve owned over the years are

I’d walk over to target to check myself, but my only pair of walking shoes are the ones that need replacing and I’m keeping my walking to a minimum until then so they don’t completely fall apart on me – oh the irony!
