Couldn't you just buy a pair of white ballet flats that are dye able and have them dyed (or dye them yourself) to match your raspberry girl costume?

The place where you bought the costume might know of a place that has the same color shoes or which color dye to use to match the shoes you want to wear.

question seriously. Why do horses have to have shoes?
Wild ones get along fine without them so why do they have shoes in captivitiy?

That is an excellent question! Domestic horses are under conditions that wild ones wouldn't be - like pavement, for example. Also horses that wear shoes are being asked to do things that wild horses probalby wouldn't do, like running very quickly for a long distance. Domestic horses are also carrying riders or pulling a cart or wagon, which may require extra traction or protection. Finally, many domestic breeds have had certain traits bred out of them (not always on purpose, but it happens) that are found in wild breeds. Wild horses generally have tough, broad hooves that wear down well under the codnitions they live in. Domestic horses who inherently may have softer, smaller feet, who may be standing in a wet stall or paddock (a wild horse could simply move to a drier area) and who is carrying a rider may not fare as well.

Not all horses wear shoes - it depends on the horse itself and whether it has any problems with its feet, legs or the way it walks. It also the kind of work it is being asked to do - it may not need shoes during the slow months but get them later when it's time to start training for show season. If a horse doesn't wear shoes, it just requires a trim from the farrier with a rasp (a huge metal nail file, basically.)

Okay, a couple of my friends wanted me to write a romance for my next novel, and I really don't think I could do all that mushy lovey stuff. So I'm making my main character [accidentally] fall for a "punk"-ish guy. [He doesn't really have much of a home, looks like he's crazy with a couple tattoos and random-coloured hair, loiters around...]

So they end up in his home city living in his dad's old tattoo shop.

What could be some things they could get into? Things that could get them into trouble? Just looking for suggestions. I need some inspiration.

Also, guys, it's been a long day, no nasty comments.

BTW: what do you call a "tattoo shop"? Like a tattoo parlor or something?

And what do you think of calling a sort of "gang" or whatever "The Sidewalkers"? xD

I define "normal" as comfortable and good looking and I doubt those highheels are comfortable and when I say "most girls" I'm talking about like 90% of them. I wonder do they all have the same intrests? Or then again is it just fashion?

I don't know man, but most women at concerts I've been to wear sandals like the world is ending tomorrow and they need to get one more day of them in. Having a foot fetish, I didn't mind one bit, but to tell the truth---I don't know. Women are very self-conscious of their appearance. Especially in the "big city" they compete with one another in the looks department and always wish to exude this confident, sophisticated sex appeal. While not all pull it off, the ones that do really do. Hope that helps.......
