Yeah, they're cute and probably fairly comfy and she can wear tights so she doesnt get a blister if she wants.

Well my daughter (who will be 2 the day after the wedding), is going to be the flower girl for my friend's wedding (I'm the maid of honor =D) anyway, we bought her shoes & they are so adorable (mini versions of mine). They are the clear plastic kind with silver leafy designs on it w/rhinestones. Well the left one fits her perfectly, but the right one I couldn't get past getting her toes in them... I was like "I know this foot cant be fatter than the other one" so I got to looking at the shoes & the toe of that one is way small... like a manufactures defect... Ok heres my question: My mom said that it will stretch out by then if I work with it alot between now and then, like you know kinda gently pull on it or whatever... Do you think that it will stretch out?? Oh and the dress store where we bought if from doesn't do refunds, or exchanges... so that will really suck if they dont stretch... =(
Have her wear the shoes around your house as much as she can to help stretch them out. If not, she could just wear the shoes for the church part. Most people take their shoes off at the reception anyways... if she is even attending the reception.
How cute... you are the MOH and she's the flower girl!!! Awe!!!! How lucky!!!!
BTW.. I see how you are changing your screen name getting ready for the big day in two days!!!! :) Happy Birthday to you!!! (in two days)

I just finished paying for my daughter's flower girl dress and with alterations, shoes, headpiece, and colored sash it cost me around $300. This is all to be in a wedding where the marriage most likely won't make it past 6 months. Anyway.... Her father called me yesterday to tell me about the other wedding she is going to be in and be a flower girl and was wondering if she could just wear the dress I bought. The wedding is a couple months after the one I bought the dress for. He wants to have it dyed cream (it is currently white) and have the shoes dyed as well. I have no issue with that because she will most likely never wear this dress again. My real question is, if I let him use the dress for this other wedding should I tell him that he has to give me half of the money for the dress? I think he should pay for half of it, it would be a deal for him because if I say no he has to go buy the same exact dress and spend about what I spent.
I think he should pay for half because I am the one who paid $300 for it. If he wants her to use it in his girlfriend's friend's wedding I think he should pay for half of the dress. I purchased the dress so she could be the flower girl in my husband's freind's wedding. My daughter's father's girlfriend thinks it is unreasonable for them to have to pay half. I was just looking to see what other people think.
I don't think that's unreasonable. you're giving him a deal, instead of $300 for all new stuff, he just has to give you $150. plus you've already done all the shopping for him! just don't give him anything until you have cash in hand. show him receipts for the cost of everything if he doesn't believe you paid $300.
My BIL is getting married to a girl whose family has more money than my BIL does or anyone in his family. When the bride to be asked to have my daughter as flower girl I told her I was honored & yes as long as things finacially were taken care of after being assured by her we agreed, then hubby asked BIL a few weeks later & he said "don't worry things are taken care of" we are paying for all traveling & lodging expenses (its far away & the rehearsal is a two day before the wedding so we need a hotel room in a expensive city for 3 nights) Now the bride to be is asking hubby & I (through emails) for money to pay for our daughters dress/shoes/hair accs. using the excuse that since they rented a house two months early that they are hard up for extra money. yeah . how do I take care of this without starting family problems (this girl is already on the bad side of most my SIL's) & I have been the one who has been sticking up for her to them since I know how she feels becoming the new SIL.
I don't think its inappropriate for the parents of the flower girl to be responsible for the cost of their child's attire and beauty needs. In most cases, this is usually done. I do think it is unfortunate that you are being asked to cover her costs after it was initially discussed that they would provide for everything. But things come up all the time with weddings. Things become a lot more costly than anticipated. But since the dresses have already been purchased I think you should talk with her about splitting the cost for her dress. And maybe you can pick up the cost for hair with the stylist of your choice or do her hair yourself.
