What are those types of shoes that girls wear nowadays?

They look like ballerina shoes except a little different and they reveal some of the foot and almost every girl nowadays wears them what are they? Are they comfortable? I was just wondering they seemed to have pooped up a lot in the last few years.

Flip flops are very dangerous to drive in, not to mention it is against the law! Flats are slightly better, but not by much. I would say ballerina flats, but sneakers or strap sandals are ideal. If you are on your way to the beach or the mall with a cute pair of flip flops, keep an extra pair of sneakers in your car and put your flip flops or flats back on when you get there. =)
