Girls Formal Dress Shoes

My friend is throwing a Sweet 16 party for her daughter and asked to have my daughter come out in the party. Kinda like a mini bride type of thing except its a sweet 16 and not a wedding. So the birthday girl will also be wearing a gold dress as will my daughter. However, its a formal dress which is gold and satin. I am having the hardest time trying to find shoes to match!! Any suggestions? Oh and the party is this Friday so its crunch time! Thanks for any responses.

Get some gold sandals at Wal-Mart. Or get a pair of cheap thongs and hot glue gold ribbon to them for your daughter. Other gold things like flowers, beads, etc can also be used to adorn the shoes.

My baby girl has a dress that has a tan/goldish & light teal floral bodice with a solid light teal skirt. I've searched & can't find any newborn shoes that come close to the tan/gold color & she has to wear socks! So what color socks & shoes do you think would look good???

She's going to look so pretty in her dress no one will even notice her feet :-) Little girls always look cute in the shiny patent leather dress shoes. I would go w/those and just some neutral colored socks.

i also need a clutch and accesories . what colour do you believe will go well with a rasberry colour. im tossing up between Champagne/ Gold, black, silver or nude.. which of these colours woiuld suit rasberry the most

champagne or light gold shoes and accessories would be BREATHTAKING with a raspberry dress. black is just too dark of a comparison, nude is too light. silver would be okay, though. white would make you look like a cheap barbie. but that's just my opinion.

Im going to a school formal and my girl's wearing a fully white dress and I was just wondering what would go well with it?

My friends suggested i wear a white suit? Would that work?

a white suit would work but the couples picture might look a little drab - the suggestion of a black tux by most, would add some variety and contrast to the picture - you could go for a white-tie style (a black tail coat and pants, white bowtie, white shirt and white waistcoat (vest) - you could even dress it up with white gloves

My year 10 formal is on the 3rd of december. Being in a small town there is only one shop that sells formal dresses and the lady who runs the shop writes down which school each dress style is sold to so no-one from the same school has the same dress (colours dont matter, only style). But she only orders in about 20 different styles. There are 120-180 kids in my year 10! Say half of them are girls thats 60-70 girls and only 20 dress styles!

Unfortunately everyone else seems to have gone in two months in advance and bought their dresses so by the time dad managed to take me in there was only a few dress styles left (basically the ugly ones that no-one else wanted) so i had to pick from those and dad said 'we'll go to canberra and have a look, get one as a backup' So I did. There were NO dress shops in the city apart from two boutiques but they are over $150 for a cocktail dress!

So now I am stuck with the dress from here that i HATE. It looks so bad on me! And the formal is supposed to be the one night where the girls can all feel beautiful in their formal dresses and shoes. I love my shoes btw. But how can I possibly feel beautiful in a dress I hate!?

I want to have a look in nearby towns but dad doesn't understand how important this is for me (my mother passed away when i was in year 6) I know people are going to tell me that if I feel confident I will look good but im not the sort of person who can just fake confidence. My self-esteem is really low and im going to be surrounded at the formal by people who hate me and only want to judge me.

I really need help or suggestions here.

Look how much you've told US! Tell HIM how you feel. He's trying his hardest, I know, but hes not a women:) Maybe ask your friend or aunt to come with you somewhere out of town.
