Okay so I have an all school dance at the end of the year. I know it's a little early but I want to be ready now. Okay my dress goes down to my knees. It is maroon with red and purple sparkles and satin 1inch thick sleeves the bottom skirt is also satin. http://www.forever21.com/product.asp?cat alog%5Fname=FOREVER21&category%5Fnam e=dress%5Fdressy&product%5Fid=205807 8132&Page=2 This pic is SIMILAR to my dress but mine is a diff color (maroon) and it has sparkles on the torso and on the hem. also the ribbon on mine is bigger and my sleeves are an inch thick. I need a accessories (cheapish please if not I can probably find something similar for less), shoes, and a hairstyle. I have long brunette hair so I can curl it or put it up whichever. I would like some makeup tips but depending on the dance theme I was thinking a pretty lilac eyeshadow with dark purple sparkles all over my eyelids. Maybe a darkish purple blush with what color lipstick? THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR HELP!!!!!! =]=]=]=]=]=]=]=]
You should post a picture of the dress. I suggest open heels in the color of the accents of the dress, in your case purple or red(probably purple since you're going with purple eyeshadow). Don't wear really high heels unless you can walk and dance comfortably in them! You don't want to spend all night sitting down! Also: make sure you're not taller than your date in your heels if you are going with a date. With your hair you can go both ways. Long brown hair looks great in waves like Miley Cyrus' or Mischa Barton http://media.collegepublisher.com/media/ paper694/stills/786axb3y.jpg
or you can make it more elaborate by putting it in a classy updo

http://www.celebrity-hair-styles-magazin e.com/ has great ideas!
For your makeup, i suggest a smoky eye with purple tones like the one in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UmFEeI1p9 2M
if you wear heavy eyeshadow, avoid wearing a strong color of lipstick. So don't wear any red or NO WAY purple but go for a neutral color and or maybe just lipgloss.
Don't over-accessorize. If you have pierced ears, wear cute dangly chandelier earrings matching the dress. Don't wear earrings, necklaces AND bracelets. Maybe just the long earrings, OR cute bangles but with the dress you're describing i don't suggest a necklace but that's from what i'm imagining. Please post a photo! Good Luck!

should i color scheme white with maroon or black with maroon?
for cheep Accessories, i would go to lulus.com
they have bunchess of necklaces, rings, earrings, etc.
and i honestly wouldn't wear lipstick. i would suggest maybe lip gloss, with a little color. and don't over due your makeup, because remember that these are the people that you see every day(:
im sure you will end up looking great! (:
and you hair i think would be adorable if it was like wavy curls, not tight curls (:

“Ciao!”
After a fourteen hour flight full of screaming babies and dozens of cups of sour coffee, the last thing I felt like was being greeted by cheerful Italians. Most of them ran crazily around the airport as they tried to find their families who had just arrived, whilst the others sat meekly in plastic chairs with a small piece of cardboard held up so that their families could instead seek them.
The only thing I was in search of was a bathroom. Despite the fact that a flight from New York to Rome wasn’t assisting in how anyone looked, I needed to be the exception. When meeting a group of people who I’d be stuck with for the next three months, I didn’t particularly want to show up as the girl with greasy hair and dark ringed eyes.
On that note, I tried to block out the strings of Italian sentences being thrown at me and I weaved my way through hundreds of people, pushing my way into a door which read toilette delle signore. I flicked through my tiny dictionary translator, just to be sure that I didn’t walk into a room full of urinals.
And there it was – a tiny, dirty Italian bathroom that had offered me the most privacy in the past eighteen years of my life. It was completely empty apart from the six cubicles, the row of sinks and a long strip of mirror on the wall. Regardless of the fact that the sinks were stained yellow and that the handles on the taps weren’t even screwed on properly, I leant back on one and shut my eyes, allowing nothing but silence fill up every inch of me.
I knew that I wasn’t meant to be here. Right now, I probably should’ve been finding my group so that I wouldn’t miss my first bus. This very second my phone should’ve been pressed up against my ear, confirming to my parents that my plane had landed safely.
Instead, I turned around to stare at myself in the blurry mirror, taking in every tiny feature. There were no burns on my face, no piercings, not even a chip in my teeth. There was nothing interesting to see apart from the standard prerequisites of eyes, a nose and a mouth. My dark hair fell down to my waist, not even a crease or curl visible. The thick fringe only just covered my blue eyes; the eyes that had no sparkle, no multicoloured flecks. And then there was the creamy pale skin which didn’t even produce one flaw; no pimples, freckles or lines. Sure, the person who stared back at me from behind the glassy surface was just another pretty girl. But that was all there was to see – just another girl.
“I don’t know why you’d be standing in here if you’re already twenty minutes late.”
I turned around to see a tiny girl standing at the door, her hand leaning on her hip and her eyebrows raised.
When I didn’t reply, she rolled her eyes and let out a deep sigh. “Surely you’re not stupid?”
I quickly piled my hair on the top of my head, my eyes trying to avoid the judgemental gaze that she cast upon me. Her foot started tapping on the linoleum as I heaved my three bags up over my shoulder, the tiny red shoes hitting the floor creating an echo throughout the whole bathroom.
“I’m sorry,” I said slowly, “But who are you?”
“Callie Embers,” She stuck out her hand, “And I assume you’re Bree. I’m no stalker or anything, just part of the tour. I saw your photo on a nametag… You look the exact same.”
“Camera’s never lie,” I laughed, shaking her hand before she frantically pushed the door open.
She started walking quickly ahead of me, her arms waving around as she kept talking. With all the other people around, it was almost impossible to decipher what she was actually saying.
“See, I believe that cameras always lie. Every single time I do a stupid performance that gets filmed, it looks like I’ve put on twenty pounds. And seeing as all I eat is a couple of carrots and a bunch of fruit every day, the camera has become my worst enemy. Worse than seeing three digits on scales, in my opinion.”
It's a bit brief for a first chapter.
although I lik the work in an of itself, a few minor poins
"whilst'? Sounds a bit pretentions
Most public bathrooms are tile, not linoleum
I am confused as to how she had three bags of carry-on luggage

I really like this. :) The writing is detailed, funny, and clever. I want to read more so badly. E-mail me each time you write more? This is very, very well thought out and good. I love it! Amazing! Don't change a thing! I really like how you had her admit that she was pretty but nothing to special. Confident enough but not a snob. :)
EDIT: P.S. Ignore Jean. She posted that on everyone's post who asked this. :D
