The reason I ask is, I am 5'8", and I meet a lot of girls where I live, go out, and go to church who range from 5'6" to 6'0" tall-it's not a question of attracting them, that's not the problem. It's just that for special occasions with pictures, dancing, etc., this could be helpful maybe.

Yes!! In fact I think its prefereed if you are shorter, because your date will most likely have on heels. I am a tall girl and short guys do not bother me at all, but you're right, for pictures it would look better to be taller. You can also buy mens shoes with a built in life and a short heel.

I'm a girl who's quite a big fan of jeans and trainers because they're comfortable, on special occasions however I make more of an effort with dresses.

I was wondering what sort of shoes go well with jeans if I'm going to wear them on a regular basis?
It would be nice if you could give names of shops (from the UK) or maybe some hyperlinks to the shoes you're talking about :) preferably something that's not too expensive please!!

So many shoes go well with jeans, but some of my favorites are Vans , Converse, Rainbows, Uggs (these are expensive, so maybe Skecher's boots) , Sperry's, Keds, Toms, sneakers, and a pair of cute flats! All are very comfortable, an average price, and look good with jeans.

I go to a private high school in California and this is the school uniform for the boys:
-Navy Blue or Black Blazer
-White oxford shirt
-School tie(pulled up all the way)
-Navy blue,black, or gray dress pants
-Black dress shoes
-Black socks

For girls it is basically the same
-Navy Blue or Black Blazer
-White Oxford Shirt
-Navy blue,black, or gray dress pants or skirt
-Black shoes

The dress uniform (required every Wednesday and for special occasions) is the same of the above except gray pants( or skirts for girls) are required with a black blazer

Sounds exactly like mine, except the girls wear a khaki skirt. And the guys have to wear khaki pants - no black or navy.
I think it looks nice when you go out places with the school but I get really tired of it. I wish they would let the guy loosen the ties...
Do they let you take your blazer off during school?

I'm 5' 7" and I wear heels all the time, not just on special occasions. They make your calves and butt look great.

I like to wear tall (3-4 inch) heels when I'm going out, but for practical, everyday use, I wear short (1-2 inch) heels.

My boyfriend is about an inch taller than me when I'm not wearing heels, so I'm usually taller than him, but it doesn't bother me.
