I am a wedding photographer and a frequent guests at weddings and I want to know why there is always that one girl who wears white!?
I know some people don't care for that "rule" and think they can do whatever they want, but come on.
I was just at a wedding saturday and there was one girl who wore white. It wasn't a plain white dress either. It was a short white shiny dress with "diamond" straps and "diamonds" outlining the cleavage and middle of the dress. She wore white satin shoes with jewels all over them. Everyone at my table, and I'm sure other tables, were whispering about her.
I stopped at the bridal table and just said "Why is there always one b!tch that shows up in white!?" The bride was so mad because everyone was talking about her and the girl was the girlfriend of the brides brother!
The girl didn't even care!
So why do you think someone wears white to a wedding? Do people just not know or are they really trying to get the attention?
OHH my God, I know what you mean. I have never done this, but I hear about it and how it p*sses off the bride so bad. Why make the bride mad on her and her fiance's day? My sister always says, "No one BETTER wear white to my wedding. They will be asked to leave and change." LoL, I think that's a little extreme but a lot of people are sensitive about that.
I'm not wearing white to my wedding. So anyone is welcome to wear white as they please. However, if you're going to a wedding it's best not to wear it. I'm sure it's a no brainer.

The color specifically is Clover, from David's Bridal, and can be seen here:

The color-matched shoes are a bit too expensive to be an option. But being fashion inept, I am unsure what other colors will match.
It is a 2:00 PM wedding with a traditional reception. Nothing too formal or informal; it's right in the middle. All the dresses are long and satin but each girl is wearing a different style. I'm not sure if this matters but I'd rather give too much information than not enough. :)
Some things I have been considering:
Can I do a classy white strappy sandal?
What about a nice brown leather sandal?
Are flip-flops out of the question?
What about something with a gold tint to it?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance! :)
EDIT: Sorry, I should have stated: I am the bride!
something silver/ white would look nice

1. cute and sophisticated, but the black strip down the middle of the bust kind of ruin it...
2. ooh i like it! its bold and edgy. but it'll be harder to pull of b/c of all the ruching
3. its really cute! its like, fun-flirty...the one thing i'd do is fold the ribbon if you can so its smaller...i think its too wide for the dress there
4. cute and innocent ;)
for dress 1 and 2, wear shoe 2
for dress 3, wear shoe 1
and for dress 4, wear shoe 3 ;)
ooh, and carry a cute clutch and wear simple jewelry!

Well, I mean, this evening I was hanging with some girlfriends, and the girls started chating about how much one of the girls I was. Usually we chat about who did what, who got some cute shoes, or what boy celeb looked hot in jeans. But tonight, as we were chatting, I mentioned how cute Megan Fox looked in a skirt. One of the girls asked which skirt, and without hesitation or thinking I said the denim "A" shape mini. OMG, I didn't realize how much attention a simple observation of a cute skirt I would get from the other girls, and even more attention that I knew what an A shaped skirt was. At first they were all like wow, you noticed her skirt. Then it didn't take long before they started teasing me about how girlie I was that I noticed a girls skirt and the type of skirt (I admit, not the manliest moment of my life). One of the girls insisted I had a real cute butt and could totally pull off a skirt. Needless to say, it didn't take long for the other girls jumped in on the idea. Despite a lot of fuss on my part, eventually I found myself in a denim mini with the girls telling me how cute I looked and how I totally pulled the skirt off. I will admit, I kind of liked the way I felt and how the girls were treating me, then a cute little pink cami came out, and the girls insisted I compete the outfit. Again I protested, but my protest didn't go far, One of the girls noted,"yeah, you can't put a cute top on because you are such a guy, but I just love your skirt." Well, how could I argue, I did have a skirt on. So there I was, I was in a denim mini, a pink satin cami and cute little white ankle socks with a cute little ruffle. I guess my question is, since I let the girls dress me up, will the girls always see me as one of the girls. I mean, I do feel kind of girlie as I am in a skirt, pink cami and at a sleep over with the girls. The girls thought I should ask this question. :)
Um no, boys do things like that all the time for fun? I can think of 10 boys i know who have been dressed up by chicks in chicks clothing.
And also, the same thing happened to my bro last week about pointing out a chick item. He is definitely NOT GAY just fashionable sooo.. guess you girls have a fashionable guy friend.

im sure the costume department will provide most of your costume. you'll probably need tights - either white or nude. no purse. yes gloves (maybe). probably like 1-inch heels.
and good luck! just have fun with it, and be able to make fun of yourself and laugh with others.
dont care what other people think - just give it your best!!
