Is it possible to findaffordable(cheap)white tap shoes for both a girl and a boy?

If you find someone who has either outgrown theirs or given up tap dancing, and your children will wear used shoes, you could get them VERY cheaply. Call a couple of your local dance studios to see if they will let you put a note on their bulletin boards.

Little Girl dance Tap Shoes

This video I recorded when she was 2 years old.

Why are girls in my dance class so rude and catty?

I've been dancing for quite a few years and I enjoy it, but some of the girls in my class are just plain rude. I hate it and have been thinking about quitting. If this doesn't sound dumb enough, I had white tap shoes while the rest had black, then they made fun of me for having the only white pair. Plus its like they are so competitive instead of just having fun. Has or is anyone else experiencing this? Some teenage girls are just awful. I hate this stage.

Do not stop doing what you like to do just because theses girls are being rude to you. You no thy could be jealous of you as well, and hoping you do quit, for your better then thy are. Some of theses girls may not mean to be that way but are going alone with someone thy no just to fit in with them.As for as your shoes goes i would not care what thy say about them as long as you like them, for if you go in get a black pair thy will no that thy got to you. So do not let that happen, You stay to being you and care less for what thy may half to say.

Is this too much puple for tap class?
Hi Im 18 and i am starting tap at this dance: school: http://www.kdadance.co.uk/

I am starting as i total beginner and i will be going to grade 5 tap with girls about my age.And this is what i'd have to wear : Purple cap sleeve and leotard +belt, purple stirrup tights, purple scruchie, black PU cuban heel tap shoes, black or white socks.>>>>>THIS IS a dress code that we have to wear for class!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What do you think, is this too much purple and what do u have to wear for your dance class? and would grade 5 be ok for me as i have never taped before??
(but i do do karate, swimming and cheerleading)

Thanks
Mandy xx

thats alot of purple! it is probably cute though! i tap and i just wear a black leotard and light pink dance tights because ballet is right before it. then i just throw on shorts and a t shirt. my dance school only has a dress code for the lower level tap classes because they know alot of ppl go from adv. ballet to adv tap

Please help me find a monologue about...?

DANCING!!!
○It can be from any movie, TV show, play, etc.
○May have mild cussing.
○It can do with any kind of dancing.

I like this one, but I don't know if it's right for me.

"DANCE 10, LOOKS 3" from A Chorus Line

Val:: So, the day after I turned 18, I kissed the folks goodbye, got on a Trailways bus - and headed for the big bad apple. Cause I wanted to be a Rockette.

Oh, yeah, let's get one thing straight. See, I never heard about "The Red Shoes," I never saw "The Red Shoes," I didn't give a smiling cat about "The Red Shoes." I decided to be a Rockette because this girl in my home town - Louella Heiner - had actually gotten out and made it in New York. And she was a Rockette. Well, she came home one Christmas to visit, and they gave her a parade. A danggum parade! I twirled a friggin' baton for two hours in the rain. Unfortunately though, she got knocked up over Christmas. Merry Christmas - and never made it back to Radio City.

That was my plan. New York, New York. Except I had one minor problem. See, I was ugly as sin. I was ugly, skinny, homely, unattractive and flat as a pancake. Get the picture? Anyway, I got off this bus in my little white shoes, my little white tights, little white dress, my little ugly face, and my long blonde hair - which was natural then. I looked like a dang nurse! I had 87 dollars in my pocket and seven years of tap and acrobatics. I could do a hundred and eighty degree split and come up tapping the Morse Code. Well, with that kind of talent I figured the Mayor would be waiting for me at Port Authority. Wrong! I had to wait 6 months for an audition. Well, finally the big day came. I showed up at the Music Hall with my red patent leather tap shoes. And I did my little tap routine. And this man said to me: Can you do fankicks? - Well, sure I could do terrific fankicks. But they weren't good enough. Of course, what he was trying to tell me was...it was the way I looked, not the fankicks. So I said: Screw you, Radio City and the Rockettes! I'm gonna make on Broadway!

Well, Broadway, same story. Every audition. I mean I'd dance rings around the other girls and find myself in the alley with the other rejects. But after a while I caught on. I mean I had eyes. I saw what they were hiring. I also swiped my dance card once after an audition. And on a scale of 1 to 10....they gave me for dance 10. For looks: 3.

*I like that one, but I changed a lot of words, because there were quiet a few cussing words. I don't mind if it cusses, but no doing it a lot or saying the "F" word.

*I would be saying this in a country accent.

THANK YOU!!!! (lol)

ive got a dress and shoes and jewellery and everything but i dont know how to do my makeup and hair!!! my dress is white , the length of the dress is just above my knees and its lacy and has a big bow on it on the top, its like a boob tube dress. i also bought red heels for it they look stunning but i also bought silver jewellery, im just stuck on how to do my hair and makeup.. my hair length is up to my boobs hahaha and its dark brown with highlights in it, im a pretty tanneed girl because my mum is from new zealand but im not too dark, if you could give me tips on how to wear my hair and makeup i would appreciate it heaps!!!! thanks :) x

Weddings are usually family oriented so don't wear too much makeup. Your outfit sounds cute. Maybe curl your hair in lose curls and wear a nice red lipstick to match your shoes. :). Go easy on your eyes. Neutral tones if you want to put eyeshadow on. Browns, greens. Put some mascara on and wah-lah. :)

Hope this helped!

  • 100 — Bad Mommy Moments

Winter was an especially hard time of year for me when both of my daughters were small and still at home. I’d dread the moment my husband closed the front door and left for work because that somehow made it official – I had 10 hours to fill until he returned. Some days we’d just stand there, staring at the door for a few minutes before looking at each other. We couldn’t spend much time outside before the whining and crying started, and there were only so many times a girl could drag her kids out to play areas and coffee shops. Somedays they’d have multiple baths because they were always happy in the water and I could zone out.

During the pit of winter two years ago I read a post by GIBBY about 100 things she already missed about the days when her girls were small. Though I generally loved and related to things Gibby wrote,  I didn’t really connect with this post. It was sweet and everything, but she was nostalgic about things I hadn’t experienced yet, or couldn’t wait to pass.
