ok i slipped up and got etinies so im taking them back and i was looking online and i love Harajuku Lovers so can u take a look at these shoes and tell me which r veg safe? i think theey r but just wanna mak sure im readin right

ok im a vegetarian and being so wearing leather/ animals skins r a no no so r shoes in the links ok 4 me. lik i said i think they r but just double checking

I'm a vegetarian also, but I've found different reasoning. I'm pretty sure those shoes are safe, they don't look leather. But here's the thing, everyone becomes vegetarian for a different reason. And everyone will go to a certain degree of the diet. Vegetarianism isn't neccisarily concerning leather and other products, that is in the 'Animal Rights' movement and Vegetarianism is just the diet. There are too many things in this world that are made from animal products that we just don't know about to stay away from it all. But I'll respect your choice and say that I really don't believe they use leather or anything (The First ones are canvas, not animal made, and rubber, which just takes oil. The seconds look like it's just canvas and leather also. They seem safe.). But if you want to be safe, I would get a list together of materials you don't want to use and take it too a journeys store and ask the manager or an experienced worker.

It's been really hard lately trying to find a good shoe for school. I want something comfortable to wear, that will last a while. NO heals preferably. I like the converse style, but I do not want converse! Harajuku style is nice too, are there any other ideas??

You should try Berkenstocks, or Minnetonka moccasins, with the hard sole obviously. They are sooo comfortable! If you don't want winter shoesm why don't you just try Nikes or Addidas tennis shoes?

for halloween, i'm dressing up as a harajuku girl.

my costume is a black dress, a red vest, a black skinny tie with colorful peace signs all over it, and colorful knee-high socks.

for my hair, i am spraying temporary bright orange streaks and i might put up my hair in high pigtails.

as for make-up, my mom is going to draw a star around one of my eyes with make-up crayons and eyeliner.

but the only thing that i am missing is shoes. i have multiple shoes to wear such as my converse with all of these different colors or my sketchers with different kinds of patterns like polka dots, but i don't think it would look that good with my costume.

so any suggestions on what kind of shoes to wear would be very much appreciated and also on how to make my costume better. thanks! :)

maryjanes or bright flats in a color similar to something on your outfit would look good, imo.

I think it's not because, I dress like harajuku now and got everything on, so why is it bad, I don't have any makeup on expect lip gloss and wild socks on, it's so cute and just black shoes, so why is it bad..

People had said it looks to sexy on because, I'm 11, when I asked how would you dress like one..

Okay, when you read this, keep in mind i'm not saying this to be mean, i'm saying it to give you some reality. (:

First, you're 11. You should not be on this website, because people will not take you seriously and you will never get any real help- I would know because I tried this website at 11.

When people see someone wearing "harajuku girl" clothes, they automatically think "emo" or "slut". And I know that you're not trying to be either of those. You're just trying to find your own sense of style, which is perfectly acceptable.

However, I don't think that's the best way to do it at the moment. You're probably entering middle school, and people there are really mean. So dressing like this isn't the best idea, even if it is cute.

You can still have your own style. You don't have to shop and Hollister and Abercrombie like everyone else seems to. JC Penney has CUTE CUTE CUTE clothes, that are way better than any of those other places. And you can find clothes there that may remind you of your "harajuku" style, but are still acceptable for an 11 year-old. :D


oh, and to the person who answered this before me- I forget your name at the moment- how dare you tell an 11 year-old to grow-up! That's beyond rude. Get a life.
