Hi,
I am currently sixteen years old and my uncle is getting married in a couple of months. His fiancé is actually really nice and intelligent but her taste is sorta gross. Her favourite colours are pink and lavender and she's really girly. My mum told me today that she rang and told her I'm gonna be a flower girl along with my little sister. I feel kind of offended as most flower girls are like six or something. I hardly know her. How can I get out of this? Also, I live in another state so I have to fly down for the wedding. Also I've already bought two dresses and shoes... Clutch etc. She's gonna make me wear a little fluffy purpoh and pink fairy dress!!

Ps I don't want to sound rude as she reall is nice. Haha unless I dress up as an ulzzang or something..

You're right, you are too old to be a flower girl. Flower girls are traditionally less than ten years old. So you can be either a Junior Bridesmaid or a guest, and I am sure you would prefer being a guest. She probably thinks she is doing you a favor by including you, and she thinks walking down the aisle with your younger sister will be cute.

So I say to you, just tell her, "Thanks, but no thanks." And if you do not speak up NOW, it will be one of the most humiliating and embarrassing days of your life. Wouldn't you rather wear the dress that you bought and have a nice day? There is nothing wrong with declining somone's invitation to be in their wedding, it is a common occurrence.

My nephew loves ladies accesories and clothes! Pink headbands with flowers, shoes with heels, ballet flats with glitter, dresses....

We don't prevent him from wearing these clothes around the home (except an expensive pair of shoes we don't want ruined) but I have never seen such a young child so interested in fashion, better yet fashion of the opposite gender!

I have never heard of a boy or girl this young doing things like that. Since you allow him to wear women's clothing around the house i assume you don't mind him doing this, and you shouldn't. Some people might act all paranoid about it. It could be just a phase, or he might become a famous fashion designer when he grows upㅋㅋ
