In girls shoe stores, I noticed they have what looks like a kleenex box full of what look like nylon socks. They give them to the girls who are trying on shoes. What are those things for?

They are often called "Peds" like the words "pedal", "pedestrian", referring to the foot. These peds stretch over your foot while trying on shoes -- it is for sanitary reasons. If you don't buy the shoes at least they are fresh and not "tainted" for the next prospective customer. Afterward, just throw them away since they are disposable.

i wanna get a pair of skate shoes for everyday wear, possibly DC or vans.

no one in my school wears them and i've never worn them, i'm worried i'll make them look weird.

where can i find pics of people wearing them with different types of outfits? can you wear them with girly outfits too?

You could make them work with any hoodies, tanks, and skinny jeans. Graphic tees would be cute with mini skirts, but that's basically the only girly think I think would work. Sorry. For girly, get black ones with pink laces. They sell them at payless and their super cute.

I;m concerned because all of the other questions like this are answered with little black dress, skirts, black dress pants and heels. how am i supposed to walk anywhere in heels? I don't normally wear dresses and skirts going out, so i dont know what would be good? what other shoes are acceptable that i wont kill myself in just walking to the club? i want to try to dress cute and trendy but i don;t know if ill be able to with out spending a fortune before i even get to Vegas.

i would hope you plan to change between walking all day on the strip, and going out to a club at night. Clubs do have dresscodes, and they won't let you in shorts and tennis shoes... except maybe carnival court outside harrahs.. but its a bar not a club really. You don't have to go all out, jut dress appropriately. If you're not sure what appropriate is, go to the website of the club you want to go to, and look at the photo galleries to see what everyone else is wearing. that should help you match up something you have to what seems to be the norm for that club.

as for walking in heels.. well.. you're going to be dancing in them anyway so a walk across the street shouldn't kill you. I would suggest sticking to the clubs around your hotel.. regardless of shoes, you don't want to walk a mile to the hotel when your tired and drunk. ahah.
