Well my daughter (who will be 2 the day after the wedding), is going to be the flower girl for my friend's wedding (I'm the maid of honor =D) anyway, we bought her shoes & they are so adorable (mini versions of mine). They are the clear plastic kind with silver leafy designs on it w/rhinestones. Well the left one fits her perfectly, but the right one I couldn't get past getting her toes in them... I was like "I know this foot cant be fatter than the other one" so I got to looking at the shoes & the toe of that one is way small... like a manufactures defect... Ok heres my question: My mom said that it will stretch out by then if I work with it alot between now and then, like you know kinda gently pull on it or whatever... Do you think that it will stretch out?? Oh and the dress store where we bought if from doesn't do refunds, or exchanges... so that will really suck if they dont stretch... =(
Have her wear the shoes around your house as much as she can to help stretch them out. If not, she could just wear the shoes for the church part. Most people take their shoes off at the reception anyways... if she is even attending the reception.
How cute... you are the MOH and she's the flower girl!!! Awe!!!! How lucky!!!!
BTW.. I see how you are changing your screen name getting ready for the big day in two days!!!! :) Happy Birthday to you!!! (in two days)

Hi Laura
You could try buying a white pair and dying them yellow, or you could go on this site and create your own. Here you will also get your own shop, so any design ideas that you have you can post them here and you never know, you may even generate an income for yellow shoes or any other colour or design the choice is endless.
This is my shop to give you an idea, you can sign up there to. It's all free to set up shop the rest is up to you. www.zazzle.co.uk/littlelady05 Feel free to leave me a comment.

Okay Im trying to decide on shoes for both my flower girls,. They have the same dress this....
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000E3F 0RG in white.
But what shoes do I get white, silver, black or my wedding color yellow?
Also if you have any suggestions of shoes Id really like to see. Im buying them from amazon tonight and the sizes are 6 and 9 toddler.
If you do have suggestions of shoes one will be 21 months and the other 3 the day of the wedding so they need backs or straps on them.
Also if it matters my shoes are silver. And my 2 bridesmaids (matching) are silver but different from mine.
What about cute little ballet flat type shoes. I think Yellow would be really cute and so would silver. But i wouldn't go with black they would stick out a lot. But if you did yellow then maybe had little yellow flowers or ribbons in their hair that would be cute.
Some friends of mine are getting married in May. I'll say right off that this couple is far "better off" than anyone else in our social circle. They asked that my daughter be their flower girl, which I agreed to. And that set me back $100 for dress and shoes (for a toddler, ouch!)
In addition, there is a bridal shower, couples shower and a bachelorette weekend that will cost each of us $125. The brides sister says it is protocol for me to buy a gift for each occasion including the wedding. This could easily cost over $500 total, which would really be stretching our finances (goodbye summer vacation!)
Is all of that really necessary???
If you do get something for each shower, get some small. $25 is plenty. You're already spending more than enough for your daughters attire and the showers/party. If they want to make a big deal out of gifts then they aren't true friends. Do what you are comfortable with and go no further.
I am considering entering my daughter in a baby/toddler show in my area (Columbus, GA) and the entry form states dress is to be semi-formal...
Does anyone have any ideas about what I should dress her in?
I was thinking of a Spring dress with maybe a matching hat and/or bag, cute shoes. She is of Australian/African American/Native American heritage with super curly hair so I was going to to her hair with the small white flowers and just leave it out and curly (with products of course)...
Any ideas on what to wear or how to "wow" the judges would be great...
Thanks...
ps....no comments about "expoliting my child, she did commercials back in Australia and loves all the attention, plus its a chance for her and me to meet some new people...
Semi-Formal would mean an pretty dress ( like you would wear to church) you want it to be colorful but not have a bright pattern but a pattern that makes the judges want to see your child stick around also make sure there is a slip underneath to make it just a little poofy and some nice flowers in your daughters hair would be perfect with a beautiful dress make sure you cordinate a color in the dress with the flowers say you have a striped dress don't look at the dominate color but a subtle one that picks up everything for instant say you have a dress of pink rose pattern and there is a light yellow in the back you want to pick up the yellow in the dress with the flowers pick flowers with a pink pattern will overwhelm the judges i hope this helps any and i'm sure no matter what your daughter is wearing she will be goregous and hopefully win
Hope this helps any ???

The Littlest Attendants: How To Keep a Toddler Flower Girl Happy

Perhaps the only one photographed as often as the bride at a wedding is the adorable toddler flower girl . Who can resist the sight of a cherubic little girl in her own beautiful gown? Off course, that perfect portrait may be hard to catch if the little cherub is red faced and throwing a toddler-sized tantrum. As cute as a toddler flower girl can be in her tiny toddler flower girl dress, it's important to remember that she is still a very young child and special considerations will need to be made to keep her happy on your wedding day.
How To Keep A Toddler Flower Girl Happy: Choose a dress and shoes that are comfortable and age appropriate: Most toddler flower girl dress designers will offer styles that are easy to put on and take off and easily wearable for long hours. However, when picking out toddler flower girl shoes it's important to take into consideration current walking abilities and general comfort. If your flower girl is a fairly new walker, soft soled flower girl shoes may be most appropriate.
