Why do black teenagers often have "Dora", "Kai-Lan", "Elmo" etc. on their purses, book-bags, etc?

I'm not trying to be racist. I'm am just curious, because allot of black and Hispanic teenagers at my school have book-bags and purses with preschool show characters on them. I was just wondering if it's a trend or something.

Bags/backpacks that are actually big enough to carry everything I need! Help please?

I'm going into 9th, and it's going to be much harder, especially with the carrying around stuff and all, since there is so much more. I need a bag that can actually everything I need, you know honor student material. I can't stand those little "dora the explorer bags" that I had in kindergarten. I want a bag that can hold at least 3 books, maybe 2 binders, 4-5 notebooks, a pencil pouch, lunch, paperback book, cell, ipod, assignment book (it's mandatory to buy from the school, about the size of a notebook), girl stuff (lipgloss, pads, etc), workbook, and a wallet! Lots of pockets would be nice, and it should look good not geeky (even if all the stuff i carry sounds pretty geeky.) Please please no tiny retarded character backpacks, Im an honor student i would look ridiculous carrying that stuff around.

Try the Big Student backpacks from Jansport.

how can i look sexy n attractive to guys when i'm in school uniform?

i wear legwarmers, flats, dora the xplorer bag, fingerless gloves, john lennon sunglasses, beret, fluffy pink folder, my school shirt, shirt n blazer. how come guys give me weird glances n not like me?

Hi!!

Keep yourself as simple as possible, always clean, and smelling wonderfully soft!!!!

Uniforms are very good, to show off your true self, wearing simple accessories that goes with your personality.

Try not to go over board wearing to much colors at ones or extravagant accessories, which may call the attention in a negative way.

Uniforms were meant to be simple, to avoid some to dress inappropriate, as the students should go to school to learn and get an education, not to be walking a runway as in fashion shows!!! Which could come to be very expensive!!!

GOOD LUCK, GOD BLESS YOU & HAPPY LIFE

This item just arrived, a gift for my 2 year-old son. He was thrilled when he saw it. It was therefore terribly upsetting to discover the following warning (in tiny print) on one of the product labels: “WARNING: This product contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.” This warning follows the requirements of California Proposition 65 (ample material about it on the web). This warning is, of course, unacceptably vague. However, no caring parent would risk exposing their child to a toxic substance. This morning, my son woke up asking for his backpack. I am saddened, angered, and frustrated that he and I have been put in this position by inadequate regulation of toy safety (the backpack is made in China) and inadequate disclosure (both on the toy tag and on the Amazon website) identifying the specific potential risk.

I bought this bag for my 3 year old daughter this Christmas. She loves Dora and has been asking for this backpack for the longest time. She was thrilled when she got it but when she wanted to put a book in it and a folder, they didn’t fit. It’s quite small and when you put something a little heavy in it, the magnetic closing comes open. So all in all, if your kid will use it for play, it’s fine. But if you’re thinking of using it as a real backpack for school let’s say, then look at a bigger one than this.
