High School Golf Bags

I'm 15 years old and going to play high school golf for the first time this spring. I've been playing for about 2 years, I want to get a new stand bag and golf shoes. Any opinions?

Short video on whats in my golf bag

I was in a high school golf match and on a par 3 my oponent hit his ball then i hit my ball on the green. After i hit he asked what club i used and i didnt answer, i just put my club in the bag and he looked at the club. He then told the other opponent what club i used before the other kid hit his ball. Is that a 2 stroke penalty????

according to golf rules, someone can ask distance, but not advice, like what club choice is best.

the guy that gave advice (after peeking in your bag) may get a penalty and the guy that got the advice may also get a penalty.

If your opponent sees for himself which club you used, then that is your bad luck (take a driver cover off another club and hide the one you put back)

Partners are allowed to give advice to each other.

But you are correct.
Rule 8-1: a player must not ask for advice (club choice) nor give advice.

Our high school is hosting a golf fundraiser. I have never attended a golf fundraiser nor has any of my co-helpers. On the day of the event, usually what do the golfers receive? Tee time is 7am, so do we need to provide bagels, muffins, coffee and juice for the check in period? Do the golfers usually receive goodie bags? (Hat, towel, tees etc) What about after the tournament? We plan on a burgers and hot dog luncheon. Is that standard or is that a little cheap?

i have played golf about three times a year since i was really little, i have my own clubs and bag, i'm just very, very mediocre. I'm going to start taking lessons very soon, my family are all golfers, i really want to make the team and am prepared to work hard any tips or techniques to keep my focus and how often should i play/hit at the driving range/practice chipping and putting? i'm pretty terrible but i understand the mechanics.

Your best shot at making the team is by showing the coach potential. If you show your love for the game, and your commitment to improving yourself you should be fine. From my experience, coaches prefer a lesser skilled player with a positive team spirit, over a better player who is cocky and only cares about himself. Oh and don't go around throwing clubs if you hit a bad shot, be well tempered, mature, and respect the game.

Now that I'm about to graduate from college, I figured it's time to give my nearly 6 year old Ping varsity high school golf bag its rather long over due rest.
It's nice, fairly comfortable, and entertaining to use but I need something less silly. Plus, I haven't been in high school for some time now.

Any suggestions on a good lightweight golf bag? I prefer to walk instead of having a cart so it definitely needs to have legs.

I've read up on a couple but figure I wouldn't hurt to ask people that might have personal experience with one/some.
