I thought that since I was trying a new sleeping bag, why not use "Start of Something New"? And sorry to all you High School Musical ...
My little niece is turning 10 soon and she wants to have a sleep over I need some great party tips. She likes Hanna Montana and High School Musical. Also we wanted to make some goody bags for her friends any ideas???
I would have like a showing of like both HSM movies and then goign to take them out to the theater and showing them the 3rd one. I would make them treats, but treats that arent all greasy and fattening, like healthy treat. Reduced Fat cheez-its are good, my niece loves those. And celery sticks with peanut butter and raisins on them too. I love those.

Hey, I'm in the middle of a messy two-guy situation and none of it is going to come out clean.
Guy #1, let's call him...Ned. Ned and I met my senior year in high school. Though there were initial bumps at first, I soon fell head over heels for him., with his musical laugh, tight ivory sweaters made to show off his guns, and dazzling presence. He was everything a girl could ask for. His family loved me, and even if my dad hated him for taking me away from him - Mom's in Arizona - it didn't matter to me. Our relationship is perfect. Or almost...
You see, even though Ned is a seventeen year old boy, he doesn't want to have sex with me.
It's not that he's gay. It's that he's startlingly old-fashioned. And he thinks we should be married first.
I said this was a two guy situation. Now, guy #2. Let's call him...Dacob. We're best friends. He makes me laugh, we love hanging out and the only flaw is that Ned and he hate each other, or at least there was one flaw.
I'd guessed Dacob loved me for a while. He held hands with me constantly, showed no interest in other girls, and once I woke up after falling asleep in his garage with a sticky stain on the back of my khaki skirt.
It all came to a head one night.
The three of us were camping out in the woods, in a tent. I was freezing as, stupidly, I hadn't brought enough cover. Ned has this strange blood condition and never gets cold, but he was of no help. Dacob offered to warm me up, and as he slid into my sleeping bag with me, I got warmed up pretty quickly and fell asleep.
The next day, I kissed Dacob and realised I loved him too.
I love Ned. But I don't want to get married. And sometimes he can be a little weird and controlling. Once, he dismantled my engine so I coudn't spend time with Dacob. And he told me that he watched me sleep before we became a couple.
Dacob has his flaws, too. He has no respect for personal boundaries. He emits a strange, wet-dog odour. And he's half-naked all the time, even at funerals.
It sounds unbelievable. Maybe it is. But I can't sleep worrying about this and so I come to you for help.
My question is: who do I choose?
Neither they both sound creepy.

my middle daughter is have her 8th birthday party next saturday!!
it's luau theme and she has invited 25 kids (12 are confirmed already)
we are making name surf boards (the dollar store had wooden ones the kids can stamp their names on then use markers to color the flowers or tiki masks on them), playing outdoor water games (balloon pop-popping balloons by sitting on them in pools filled with water. sprinkler freeze-kids run in sprinklers and freeze when music stops. wet pant relay-kids will divide into 2 teams and take turns dipping sleep pants into water, putting them on then running to fence and back. limbo-typical limbo game), we'll have chicken teryaki skewers, fruit skewers, and mixed nuts along with cake and drinks.
her cake will be plain white (with chocolate mousse filling) and will have 4 mini hula dancer dolls made out of cake on top)
guests will be greeted at the door and given their leis and grass skirts made out of ribbon and green paper streamers.
at end of party, kids will get to take turns hitting a parrot pinata. they'll receive sandpails w/shovels as goodie bags and fil them w/their candy from the pinata, hibiscus bubbles, stickers, and plastic hibiscus drink cups.
her gifts from us are:
-2 games for her leapster (handheld game system she got for christmas)
-american girl doll Chrissa
-high school musical sharpay doll w/mustang car
-summer outfit (purple dress that looks like her new doll's)
-new swimsuit
-high school musical dvd game
-disney princess art kit
-butterly dishes set (bowl,plate,cup,and placemat)
so what do you think? nice, just right party or too much?!!
sounds like a great party.
be wary of spoiling your child though.

just fyi-the hula dancers are being made from a special cake pan wilton makes-it's actually quite easty
the invitations clearly stated that the kids would be painting and getting wet...
it sounds great already.
25 kids is a good number if you're brave.
ask some mum's to come over and help if you want to.
games
- limbo! an all time fave for summer parties, like you said,.
the simple way- get a wooden stick, two mum's /adults hold each end and kids limbo-limbo under it , play music in the background.
a mini inflatable pool is good, to dip feet in if it's hot.
apple bobbing maybe??
fruit kebabs if the kids aren't too fussy..
for the table, get a few extra lei's and cut them so they are one long line, pin them to the table so they hang and make a frilly effect, it looks cute :]
when the kids do the surfboard/tiki's you could make it into a competition, do them outside on tables or on the grass if the kids want to,have prizes for the best. judged by the adults??
have a good bday! good luck

Entertaining the Kids in January - Twinsclub
January has come around quickly, much to the dismay of many cash-strapped parents around the UK. December is always going to be an expensive month, what with overspending on Christmas presents, food and general overindulgence. Our bank accounts are exhausted yet the little ones still need entertaining- even though you spent a small fortune on toys, games consoles and other items which were meant to entertain them until at least February. If your little ones are demanding but your wallet is officially on strike, take heed of these ideas to keep the kids busy in January without breaking the bank…
Eat In
Instead of going out to eat, order in. This will mean you won’t have to pay over the odds for drinks and deserts and it will eradicate any service charge. Kids love pizzas, and with an abundance of Dominos vouchers and Pizza Hut offers available you’ll be able to make some big savings. You can often get even bigger discounts if you go and pick up your pizzas yourself as you’re not using any of their services (apart from their pizza ovens of course!).
