Do their school bags look different than the ones in the US? I've heard that they have a different style. Like, high school bags? Any pictures of them you could show me? Anywhere I could buy one?
In japan they definitely have cooler looking backpacks, and there wayyy expensive here and really hard to find, there really unique too.

In Japan kids use different school bags than we do in the US. This is a second hand bag that I picked up.
I've been trying to find a site or someplace I can purchase a authentic Japanese school bag/brief case.
You see them alot in anime or in general japan school pictures.
Usually they are black or brown leather bags (looks alot like a laptop bag), that have a handle on top and can be converted to a backpack style for carry on your back.
I can't find anywhere that sells them, that will ship to the USA, where the goods are actually authentic.
Any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

I've already searched the internet for bags, none of the places I've found ship to the USA. eBay, doesn't seem to turn anything up either.
you could just search on the internet for japanese bags
It comes with a nice bag!
Snap on lid keeps your lunch securely in the box!
Three removable sections inside
I was wondering because I've seen high and middle school students with these bags ! http://www5f.biglobe.ne.jp/~sampeiks/sch ool.htm ( top , first close up pic ) You can't fit many books in there . My text book in math and L.arts in 3 inches , not kidding . What are some normal school book sizes ?
Thanks !:D
The pics you indicated tell all. The bags all have enough capacity for one day carry. Text books, note books, guide books, references, some more food or toys if necessary.
Japanese standard school book sizes are not much different from American ones. If some extra things like sporting wears or else, pupils have to carry, they take another side bag to go to school in Japan.
Price:
$16.99
$12.49
Features Thomas, James, Harold and Percy
Includes lunch box, double decker sandwich box, outer storage compartment, and pop-up straw canteen
Does anyone know where I can find those book bags used by Japanese high-school girls? Here is a picture of what I mean:

They're quite elusive; and, even if they're available on eBay, they are extremely pricey. Does anyone know an online shop directly located in Hong Kong, Japan or Korea that offers these items at a reasonable price and can ship them internationally? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Yahoo! Japan has high school bags and accepts orders from other countries. Yahoo! Japan is written in Japanese, of course, and you need to create Yahoo! Japan ID first. If you don't read Japanese, you need to find a reliable person who understands Japanese and is willing to help you. You have to give her/him your personal information to order the bags, so be careful whom you ask!

I want this bag for high school because it's
A. Leather, so it's durable
B. I think it's nice looking
But, I was wondering if $35 (including shipping) would be too much to ask my parents for? What do you think?
Defiantly not! : )
$35 is a great price for a school bag ,
Alot of purse are really expensive now,
the last school bag i bought was $50!
Its cute, durable, and defiantly worth it! Thats a great price and a really cute bag! ^_^
Good Luck! :D

Another anonymous 'Tiger Mask' donates school bags for children
A recent anonymous donation of school bags for children under the hero's name in the cartoon and animation series "Tiger Mask" in Gunma Prefecture has apparently sparked a follower in Kanagawa Prefecture, a local children's counseling office said Wednesday.
Six school knapsacks in boxes with gift wrapping from a donor identified as "Naoto Date" were found on the night of New Year's Day in front of a local government building housing the children's counseling office in Odawara, Kanagawa Prefecture. Japan's emperor recalled planting birch seedlings on his golden anniversary, while his wife expressed the joy of seeing the first leaves of spring, during an ancient poetry reading ceremony Friday at the imperial palace.
The unique and colorful ritual, which also includes selections from tens of thousands of entries from around the world, is one of the biggest events of the year for Japan's royal household. It is broadcast...
