Style School Bags

Do their school bags look different than the ones in the US? I've heard that they have a different style. Like, high school bags? Any pictures of them you could show me? Anywhere I could buy one?

In japan they definitely have cooler looking backpacks, and there wayyy expensive here and really hard to find, there really unique too.

I'm in high school and I want a cute bag for school. I've tried totes and actual purses and both don't work for me. Can anyone suggest any cute messenger bags or bags that are messenger style? Thanks.

I found one at Target last year in the men's department. Check there, department stores, online. Maybe Urban Oufitters.

I am looking for a local store that sells Japanese-highschool-like bags.
I have seen some stores online but they are very costly. Any brand is fine with me, as long as it looks similar...If you look at the design, it's very simple and common, so I wanted to find one with a more reasonable cost.

Recently I've been to Aeropostale and other stores for some back to school shopping. There were some messenger bags displayed at the stores. Does that mean its okay to maybe put aside that Jansport backpack or tote bag for a while and let the messeger bag take the spotlight??

Definitely! Messengers are the perfect fall bag. Totes are better for spring/summer. Messengers are more rustic and tend to go better with fall colors. A plaid messenger bag would be really cute.
