Westport Weston co-op school holds tag sale

The Westport Weston Cooperative Nursery School will hold its giant schoolwide tag sale next month.

The Kids Tag Sale is set for Saturday, Nov. 7, from 9 to 4 in the Saugatuck Congregational Church, 245 Post Road East in Westport.

The sale will feature items donated by 80-plus co-op families, their relatives and friends, and promises a wide selection of quality children’s clothing, outerwear, sports apparel, furniture, toys, puzzles and games, and more.

All leftover clothing and gear will be donated to Daughters of Charity in Bridgeport.

“The Westport Weston Cooperative Nursery school has a history of serving the community for 50-plus years, both by working with our young students and providing community outreach efforts,” said Pat Rackliffe, director, Westport Weston Cooperative Nursery School. “In these very challenging economic times, we wanted to carry on that tradition of service while continuing to meet our school’s fund-raising needs.”

Factors to Consider in Selecting School Furniture

School administrators and teachers should pay attention to providing good quality school furniture for their students, especially inside the classroom. The quality of furniture that schools have can greatly influence the overall learning of students, mainly because they can make students feel more comfortable or uncomfortable in doing their assigned tasks and projects, as well as when they are listening to lectures. Of course, this would require a certain amount of investment but you can be pretty sure that you will get the returns you deserve over time. High (or at least good) quality furniture is necessary so that the demands of time can be met.
