I need suggestions for a play that could be performed in high school with minimal set design and or set changes
Our Town is a play often done by high school theatre companies. It is usually done as a minimalist production. It is also a very thought-provoking piece.
Also, a lot of Shakespeare plays can be done minimalist since most of the art is in the language.
Hope this helps!

During the summer I would like to work backstage at a set design type job. Without any direct connections how can I find a job like such preferably with some pay?
I am definitely not thinking of upscale set designs such as Broadway plays but maybe summer theater camps that need set work done. Do such summer jobs even exist? I hope.
I am interested in design, mostly interior. Any suggestions of interesting job or intern type of things I can do during the summer?
I am 15 years old and live outside of NYC.
If there is a community theater in your area, volunteer there. Or your local community college. You may not get paid, but if you do that this summer, you can put something on a resume and maybe get paid next summer.
club with the drama club budget. Is this a serious program or a joke?
I think its a huge joke because more than half their roster was in WWE first and there set sucks and who wrestles in an hexagon with two entrance ramps with circles

Many teens believe that GED's are easier to get than high school diplomas. For the vast majority, that is not the case. You still have to deal with teachers, studying, and homework. It seems as though someone started a rumor that's gone way out of control. As a matter of fact, the trend for the past for several years has been moving towards keeping teens in high school. The New York City school system is a good example of that. They have set up various schools designed to get teens away from GED programs and back into high school for diplomas. This is a national trend.
I don't know, BUT I do know that getting the GED is MUCH harder than graduating from HIGH SCHOOL. They have changed the rules, it's much harder I do respect those who have got their GED because they have to work much harder to get that than just getting their degree from high school.
I'm in eighth grade, and soon I will be recieving a packet of the classes that my high school offers for me to take next year.
In the future, I would like to...
-be a photo-journalist for major magazines like National Geographic
-an artist(but maybe not, because unless your REALLY good, its not high-paying)
-anything with movies- set design, prop design, special effects, etc.
what kinds of classes should I take in high school to prepare me for these?
You mean electives? You are required to take the core courses. Then you have a choice of a few electives.
First, obviously, you should take art. oOst courses like photography, are only offered to older students. But you need a visual arts to take photography.
You should also take drama. There is a lot of set/prop/lighting design in drama.
