I have terrible posture. Today I was setting in a speech at my school and my back was killing me. My neck and arms are tense and I'm starting to get headaches because of it. Normally when you look at boys, they are the ones who have good posture and walk with a streight back and most of the girls slouch. How do I get better posture without people looking at me weird?
Just walk with a straight back. I would hardly call the majority of high school girls today "young ladies". You shouldn't care what they think. I have excellent posture and it has inspired other girls to fix theirs. I will admit that it is a bit weird at first when a teacher compliments your good posture in front of the class, but you just have to smile and say "thank you" and everything will be fine. Remember that teachers (the older ones) come from an era of home economics and "grooming and deportment" classes in school where they learn to walk with a book on their heads and bake pavlovas. It is very different now, but that is no reason to be embarrassed about the fact that you are confident and take pride in your appearance. So don't worry :)
Our school system is falling apart! VISD has had to hire 3 New superintendents in the last 5 years, and now they have the system at the high school set up so weird. 8 classes ... can you believe it? 8 !! And I'm taking them all A.P. ... can you imagine how many times i've wanted to kill myself already? It's so stressing to have 8 classes a day at the high school to have to worry about .. what do you think? Overthrow our Superintendent?
8 AP classes is too much , but that was YOUR decision, not the superintendents. Most schools do have 8 periods but one is lunch and another one would be study hall or phy ed. which leaves six academic classes. Some schools have four periods but they are double length classes, that is called a 4x4 block system.

At the school dance last night not many people were dancing. However being my first "school dance" and not knowing how I was supposed to dance I decided that I would dance by myself. That is with no set partner or anything. I did dance several times with a group and with a girl but not the whole time. Is this normal or weird? I don't know what the dances are like in highschool now days. Help!

Personally I reckon anything goes when it comes to social dancing. It's easier if you are attached to a group but I prefer it when people move around from group to group - it's more social.
These days I'm somebody who usually goes around persuading others to get up and dance - but in the past when I've felt a bit shy or inhibited, I really appreciated it when somebody beckoned me out. It's sometimes just the slight push you need.
I'm planning on using a fog machine for a school project tomorrow. Are there any dangers to doing this? Will it set off the smoke alarms? We dont have windows in our classroom but the rooms are semi open (my school is weird)
Every fog machine I've ever had experience with does not trigger smoke alarms. You should be fine. If you're still worried, test it out at home on your own smoke detector just to be 100 percent sure.

I chanced upon this series at the library and decided that Josh might enjoy reading them over the holidays. From a stack of books that I’d picked up, he just zoomed in on Miss Daisy Is Crazy! and started reading it on the drive home, chuckling and laughing out loud at certain parts. I had to ask him to put down the book during the drive. He’d pick it up again as soon as we stop for a light and I’d had to remind him to put it down again. In the end, I gave up. He finished the book shortly after we got home. I read through one ( Miss Daisy Is Crazy! ) just to see what it is that he finds so funny in them and I’ll have to admit that I thoroughly enjoyed it, too. The story is told from A.J.’s point of view. A.J. is a boy who hates school. A.J.’s voice rings true and you could almost picture A.J. as you read through his accounts of events. I guess it’s easy for Josh to relate to another...
