Bleach School Uniform

I handwash my white school shirts with bleach, but for some reason, the logo always fades away. Does anyone know a way that can prevent my logo from losing it's colour?

Don't use bleach. Use a presoak or a spot remover. Constant use of bleach weakens the fabric and causes the item to yellow.

I have a white school uniform and it has alot of stains and its really dirty. but it has my school logo on the left side and im scared if it will turn white if i put it in bleach?
how much bleach do i put in and how do i do it so that my logo wont wear off. i already tried putting my shirt in diluted bleach and the stains and dirt wont come off.

Try treating each of the stains with liquid Tide. Let the shirt sit for a good hour, then wash the shirt again. Add about a cup of chlorine bleach to the water in your machine before you add the shirt let it agitate for a few minutes, then turn off the machine and let the shirt sit in the bleach water for about fifteen minutes, then re-start the washer and wash as usual. The logo may fade with this method.

To be on the safe side, you could buy a Clorox bleach gel pen. Follow the directions on the pen and treat the stains. That will help prevent damage to the school logo.

You can always ask your school office for advise on how to clean your uniform.

My daughter has to wear uniforms to school, I have bleached the white shirts so much they look dingy, the light lue shirts have some set in stains. Can they be saved.

I have this book - Talking Dirty Laundry with the Queen of Clean - and I've used this on alot of my whites with great success: put your whites in the washer with 6 denture cleaning tablets (1 sleeve worth of tabs) and let them soak overnight, then run as usual. They should be white again. I've used it on colors, but recommend that you test on one shirt before doing an entire washer full.

I used to work in a bakery and ended up with chocolate and red frosting on my white polos - this took it all out!

My school has a really strict uniform/dress code. What accessories can I add to make myself look stylish on the first day of school?

Here is the uniform:

School polo shirt in white, maroon, or forest green,

Black or Khaki Skirt/skort no higher than two inches above the knee OR school plaid skirt.

White socks,

Predominately white or black tennis shoes OR Brown or black school shoes.

I have fine hair that is sun-bleached blonde and falls just below my shoulder. I am gonna get it cut for school. I want to keep the length but want a fresh look. Any suggestions?

Also, list any accessories you think
I should bring. I am not allowed to have purses but messenger bags are okay and belts are allowed too.

Yeah, thanks for all your help. I can't wear aeropostle polos, though. (Wish I could!) Just the kind you can buy in the school store. I dont really wear much makeup yet sinse I am only going into 7th grade. I pretty much just wear lipgloss. I am gonna get a manicure for the first day If I can afford it by then, and I like the idea of bracelets and long necklaces. I will hold off on choosing a best answer yet so I can see what other people write.
Well, I am not supposed to have nail polish but they aren't too strict about that. :)

..loads are pre-soaked, water washed/spinned once, the article is specially doused and rubbed with colorfast bleach, and machine-washed regular cycle; but I can't get rid of the lingering B.O. ...
The middy is white with a grey collar; tomato juice will most likely leave a tough stain.

try a 1/2 cup of baking soda to a small load of laundry,use your regular detergent and complete as usual.Of course if all else fails use Fabreeze!FYI...baking soda is also great for removing stains from plastic containers,polishing chrome and removing sticky lables and tags.
