I came to Hong Kong on a holiday from Australia two weeks ago. I want to talk to the chicks here but I have never talk to a guy or a girl here. I am planning to talk to them after they leave school. I have no idea what to say to them or what i should wear. They may think that I am some weirdo or something as i don't wear their school uniform or go to their school.

I need help please!!!

Cantonese is my second language even though I was born in Hong Kong. I have never talked to a guy or a girl here my age so I have no idea what they like to talk about etc.

I would like to make friends with them and understand their lifestyle but im too shy so please help me.

Thank you very much

Prologue
We all live under the impression that it is impossible to achieve perfection, and that we could only get so close to it but never close enough to reach it. We all comfort ourselves by saying that perfection is an illusion, that we couldn’t reach it because there is no such thing. We tell ourselves that until we believe ourselves, until we forget that perfection was achievable, and when we do remember, we tell ourselves that perfection went wrong and no longer exists. But I know better, because I’ve seen it and lived it and loved it and hated it, because I was part of it.
Bradwell
At the very beginning, there was Bradwell.
The first thing I noticed when I walked through the polished gilt gates of Bradwell Academy was the sheer perfection of it. From the emerald green leaves of the trees neatly lined up on the sides of the perfectly clean schoolyard to the glittering white marble staircase that led up to the school building. It’s all so flawlessly beautiful, so perfectly…perfect.
I blinked as I looked up at the school building itself. The white marble castle that is my new school stood at the top of the staircase, by far the oldest and most elegant looking building in the area. The plaque at the bottom of the stairs says that the building was built in the 1970s, almost 40 years ago, but it was the style of the building rather than the age—the Roman pillars, the large gold framed windows and the wide mahogany double doors—that made it look like an old European palace. This was a classic example of an ideal rich people’s building—reasonably new but doesn’t look too new. The way the sun glinted off the roof gave it a glowing presence that made me almost scared to walk up the stairs.
My admiration of the school is interrupted by the chime of the morning bell. Bradwell students in their neatly pressed navy, white and gray uniforms and polished leather shoes glided past me and ascended up the stairs like angels on their way to their morning meetings with the archangels.
I followed the crowd up the stairs, watching my every step as if the steps under me would turn into a puff of air. I was scared that it would turn out to be just another one of those Bradwell dreams I had all last year. Every time I was about to walk up those stairs, they vanished with me waking up and finding out that the school bell was actually nothing but the ring of my alarm clock signaling another day of non-Bradwellness. But now, finally, I thought when I finally reached the top of the stairs for the first time, Bradwell Academy.
The Glittering Throng
They were walking down Loong Hall, Bradwell’s nicest chapel-style assembly hall, when I first saw them. They were impossible to miss, too exceptionally beautiful even among the beautiful to be unnoticed.
There were eleven of them in the group, and almost twice as many people trailing after them as they walked down the shiny polished wood aisle of the hall, the most perfect people I have ever seen, people who can be identified as exceptionally perfect even among the perfection of the whole place.
In truth, they weren’t all that exceptionally attractive, not enough to stand out in a crowd like this. Looking at photographs of them, one would see good looking but plain Asian teenagers with expensive haircuts in the uniform of the most expensive elite private school in Hong Kong. It was the way they carried themselves as they breezed past the rows of pews towards the front row that made them look so beautiful and untouchable. It was the vibe that they seemed to give out that made them stand out; it was the way they seemed the glow that painted them into the extraordinarily beautiful images that everyone saw.
But seeing them from the angle I saw them, they were the most breathtaking crowd I have ever seen, they had a certain shine that none of the groups I had seen from earlier this morning seemed to have. I was fascinated by them, because they appeared to be above all the others in the room; because I couldn’t help noticing that everyone else was also watching them as if they were the most wonderful things in the world; because they were unmistakably “The Group”.
The Ten Commandments
“We have gathered here on the first day of a new school year. I suppose that most of you, apart from the ones who have just joined us, are familiar of our school’s tradition of the reading of the ten school rules at the very beginning of each year. This tradition, for those of you who do not know, is to remind you all of the behavioral standards that we expect of you. For you are the most privileged of Hong Kong children, the best students studying in the best school with the best teachers and facilities in Hong Kong. For you to live up to that name you must first behave accordingly. And we believe that since these ten rules have been successful in keeping up the behavior of students since Charles Loong, our honorable founding father, established them back when the school was founded, these
reply to your comments:
a) they are NOT vampires!
b) you can see how "good looking" the students are when you read on, because YES they are boring when you look at them.
c) the whole thing is NOT the prologue. you can see the headings...somewhere.

Oh dear, that is the most repetitive piece of writing I have read in some time. You used the word perfection/perfect/perfectly eleven times! As well, there seems to be no theme so far in this verbose narrative. I suggest you pare it down, use a thesaurus, and put some action words into play pretty soon because such long descriptions lose peoples' attention.

Dakota Fanning has started high school!!!?

I know it's hard to believe, but Dakota has infact started at a highschool. She does cheerleading. But I can tell you she had her uniform especially made as she is so small, and her jacket says "Dakota". Her uniform is blue and yellow and has "Vikings" written on it.
A few kid actors go there apprently, so it's expensive. But she's not attending at the moment as she is in Hong Kong filming "Push".
My friend has a picture of Dakota in her cheerleading uniform, but I can't show it to anyone.

wow... you just wasted 5 points... but guess what.. a lot of people just gained 2 points... o well.. dakota looks very young.. that is hard to believe!!

Where can I buy navy long pants for my kid's school uniform ...

There is a school uniform shop in Wan Chai. I am pretty certain it is in the lane that runs from Queens Road East to Johnston Road, coming out next to "the Pawn". The one between Ship Street and Swattow Street. (If not it is in one of those connecting streets). They have loads of local school uniforms in there and I am certain that they would have blue long trousers.
