Large Size School Uniform

I am looking for a gingham school summer dress in adult size 16 to 18.

Preferably button fastning as it is for a teenage girls school uniform, and it would need to be either green or sky blue.

Anything considered as I am getting nowhere with finding this.

What do you think? I love it. Good quality, lovely colour, only problem is the sizing is on the large size. It fits me ok but I am 6 foot 2 inches ...

I wear school uniforms its my last year and everything so I want to dress up my style. So I was thinking of starting with the tops. My school shirt colors are Khaki, Black, White, Yellow Gold, & Navy. I wear juniors size Large or XL. Websites would be very helpful. Spending price is somewhat an isssue I don't want to spend too much for a shirt.

You get a lot of freedom with what you can wear so take advantage of it...who says you can't look hot in a school uniform?! I suggest taking a peak at shirts in..
Jcrew-Very preppy and professional...it can be a little pricy but they have lots of clearence items too.
DressBarn-I'm sure you can find shirts like that here. It's a lot of work clothes for girls and women of all ages and they're formal yet classy and very very reasonably priced.
The Limited-A little on the expensive side but you'll find what your looking for. same with-New York & co
Although these stores are great i highly suggest you looking into department stores like sears, jcp, macys, and H&M!
Very cheap prices but trendy high quality stuff...you'd be surprised they have the cutest stuff if youve got the eye for it plus its reasonable! I think H&M is your best bet...very what your looking for! Good Luck!

I just ordered my school uniform and the person on the phone said that a youth extra large is 18/20. Sooo what exactly does that mean? If you could compare it to a short from like Abercrombie, what size would it be similar too? I'm a little on the overweight side, so would it fit me? (I wear medium at A&F)

yea that's about right, because a youth extra large at abercrombie kids is the same as a medium at Abercrombie and Fitch, so i think that size for your uniform is fine. :)

Theese are the uniform guidelines for my school,We can wear basically any acessories my general style is kind of girly- the skirts :):) also does anyone have any cute hair ideas that i can do it about 20 minutes? Middle School Ladies Dress Uniform
Shirts: Knit polo shirt that is white, navy blue, or forest green (no emblem or stripes), may be long or short sleeved Shirt must be long enough to cover midriff with arms raised any color undershirt may be worn underneath shirts. Undershirts must be plain, without text, pictures, or logos displayed
Sweater: Navy or dark green sweater (monogrammed with Bear Creek logo), may be cardigan, crew neck pullover, v-neck pullover, or v-neck vest; must be purchased from The Uniform Store (Dennis Uniform) or Lands’ End
Skirts: Sequoia plaid skirt; must be purchased from The Uniform Store (Dennis Uniform) Light tan khaki skirt; may be chino or corduroy Skirt must be knee length Side slits or vents may be above the knee to allow for movement, but should be two inches or less above the knee. Walking Shorts/Skorts: Must have at least 5 inch inseam. (Note: this is the minimum inseam for ladies size 8; use as a comparison for larger/smaller sizes)

hahaha that's almost like the dress code for the school i just transferred to but we have shorter skirts and no forest green. (ew..forest green and navy?!?!)
anyway my advice is DON'T wear the pants cause that would be gross.
your lucky..your shoe guidelines are WAY better. we can't wear boots or heels or anything. i think you should wear UGGS since YOU CANN!!
we have the thing on fridays too lol where you can wear a shirt that has your school on it. it's like..they think they're giving us freedom but they're really not...lol.
and for your hair mix it up with straight one day then curls.

So ive recently lost quite a bit of weight, and my school pants (normal black workpants for those who are lucky enough not to have to wear them) have about an inch too much in them, theyre about an inch too big, everywhere, my hips, my waist, and my legs, ive shrunk! We went to BHS today (because they have school uniform in lots of sizes all year round) and got the next size down, a size 12, or an age 14. and they were too small! they fit, but wouldnt fasten! it was so aggravating, and not to mention the problem i already have, i DO have a waist, which means what fits on my bum and hips will not fit on my waist, because my waist is alot smaller than my hips and bum. I wore my skinnies today to go out in, and theyre also small! they are slipping past my waist and onto my hips, the only thing (exactly like my schoolpants) that is keeping the darn things up is my bum!
what do i do? im at a loss. BHS's motto for school uniforms is "fit the nation" and they have size 18's in girls school pants, so theyre obviously catering for the very large, to the very small. But it seems im in between sizes, so what do i do? continue to excersise the way i have been, and lose more weight so that ill fit into the smaller pants, or just keep these, and wait until they fall off my bottom while im running for the school bus or something?

If your going to continue to lose weight just wear a belt with the pants that are too big until you can wear the smaller ones, or you can go to a tailor and have them take them in for a perfect fit!
