School Uniform Kilt

I start catholic school in january and I have to wear a kilt for school. It has pleats on one side and is flat on the other. Which way around do i wear it?

The flat aprons are worn centered on the front of the body, and the pleats wrap around your back side from hip to hip.

im am new to the whole uniform thing, and i just wanted to know if there's anyways to make my skirt shorter. Right now, it goes below my knee and i am not very tall so it kinda looks bad..

please help!

You can have your skirt hemmed. However, if you do that, and you grow taller, then the skirt will probably be too short for you and then you'll need to buy a new one.

What I think you should do is wear the skirt like its a high wasted skirt, and roll it up. When you roll it up, make sure the skirt stays even, and then you should use a couple of pins to keep the skirt like that. And when you sit down, don't sit on the skirt and start pulling on it because if you do that, it will make the skirt unroll.

I know what you mean about the skirts being that long. The girls in my high school would complain that the skirts they got were too long, so they would either hem them or roll them up. Also, for halloween, I'm gonna dress like a schoolgirl and I got a uniform kilt skirt. It's way too long but I'm gonna hem the one I have.

Besides, the good thing about rolling your skirt up is that if people in your school complain that it's too short, you can always unroll it.

Lastly, if you want to make your school uniform kilt look nicer, put a pin or two on the part of the skirt that overlaps in the front. It will also help the skirt stay down on a windy day.

Do you know how to put on the pin on the kilt ?
I dont want to put it on wrong lol.
Should i use the huge kilt pin or a regular safety pin thing ?

i don't actually wear a pin on mine hehehe no-one at my highschool does! :D

White sleeveless blouse with black trim on collar.
Purple and teal plaid skirt with black tulle underskirt.
Purple cable knit cardigan sweater.

Is this enforceable? This is actually being considered in the private school I go to. This is the closest I could find to the kilt. It's the same company that supplies it according to the search I did.

Private schools in general can require any uniform that doesn't violate laws of public decency (for example indecent exposure) or subject you to harm from the environment (like you are allergic or it does not provide adequate warmth)

So a kilt, yes possibly, though they cannot require you to not have underwear underneath. That would violate the law.

If this is considered outlandish enough to you and a significant portion of your classmates, the parents can rally and influence this by threatening to pull their children out of the school, thereby depriving the school of tuition money.

I'm talking about like a uniformed kilt, for a high school uniform.

i know there is some way to show that with how you wear your kilt pin. I've heard of it, i just never figured out, does anyone know?
