Ok well like lots of kids in the summer, I want to make some money. But I am not old enough to get a part job somewhere. My Catholic School does a Summer Tutoring Program. It is available to any boys and girls of any school (1st to 8th grade) and goes every Monday to Friday for about 8 hours a day from June 25 to August 3 (our summer vacation is from June 24 to August 6). That means I will be at school tutoring 27 of my 42 days of summer break (we get July 3-5 off). That's about 216 hours of my summer. I get paid $6 an hour (I know it's below minimum). After doing the math, I can make $1,296 in this short summer. Since you have to meet certain criteria to be eligible to tutor, all my closest friends will not be doing this. Not a lot of people I know or hang out with will be doing this. But another major downside to this is we will have to wear our school uniforms to the tutoring sessions. So that means over half the summer, I will have to wear my school uniform. The
students recieving the tutoring do not have to wear uniforms. And the teachers can wear anything they want (within reason). Personally, I think this is unfair. I was planning on just going over to one my friends' houses after tutoring to hang out and relax after a long day, but I don't know if I really want to go if I will be the only one there in my school uniform (in the summer!!!). So, can they do this? Is it fair? Is it worth it? What should I do?
The funny thing about working for someone else is that they have the right to tell you what your uniform needs to be. If you want to do this job, wear your uniform.
Think of it this way, you are going to be a role model for the other kids and you are going to be someone they look up to. If you don't feel you should follow the rules, you won't be a good role model.
I know that is not the answer you want, but wearing your uniform is the right thing to do - without complaint - if you want the job.

Yes they can probably do this. Your "boss" is just laying down the rules of your job. Lots of jobs require a uniform. It's kind of weird how the teachers and other students do not need to follow the same uniform policy, but it's probably because they want the tutors to stand out and look professional. Besides, your principal probably thinks you will get more accoomplished as a tutor in your uniform as all those studies show for school performance. And your friends will understand, and it's not like they've never seen you in your uniform before. Maybe bring clothes with, or use some of the money you earn to buy clothes to leave at their houses to change into, then leave then there and change back into your uniform when you go home. But this sounds like a good deal, go for it.
Well I'm part of the tutoring program at my Catholic school. Being a Catholic school, every thing we do at school, we have to come in our uniforms. Like for example, we do tutoring sessions after school and on Saturday from 10-2, and they make us wear our uniforms for this. I guess because we're at school. But now, the tutoring program is starting a new program, where we go to people's houses from 3-5 and 6-8. I though this would be kind of neat, so I said I'd give it a shot. Now the school tells us that we would have to come to the houses in our school uniforms. I thought to myself, why? We're not at school, and we asked if the students we tutor have to be in their uniforms, and they do not. That means on Saturday afternoon and Evening, we have to walk around town going to people's houses in our school uniforms for something we do in our own time to help others. Can they do this? Is this fair?
You're essentially a representative of the school so I'd have to say yes.

I recently gotten a lip piercing. I wanted to know what your school's JROTC program does about facial piercings. Allows them out of uniform or forbids them no matter what.
Thanks (:
I've been out of JROTC for two years, but if I remembered right, all facial piercings are forbidden, in or out of uniform. I definitely know that a lip piercing is out of the question. I think that also guys aren't allowed to wear any ear piercings, while a female can wear a small earring on their ear lobes.
i need topaint my school uniform emblem but i dont know a program to do that if you help me t will put you as better answer

School's back in session--almost...
"Tiz, tiz," exclaimed my British neighbor one day recently when I was complaining mildly of losing my whole morning because I went to a "short meeting" scheduled for 9 am that ended up starting at 10 and lasting till 12:30. "Tiz?" I asked. "Yes, tiz, 'This Is Zambia' you see." I did. (Although to be honest, I have had this same meeting issue from time to time in Arizona. It seems to be a universal occurrence.) What is different in Zambia is the casual attitude toward advance planning and time management. When our MEF students left in December, they were told to report to campus on January 10th to settle into dormitory rooms, pay their fees, and be ready for classes to start on the 17th. I went to work on my course outlines, developing a schedule that started with the week of January 17. (I couldn't be more specific on the dates topics would be covered than "the week of..." since I did not yet know what days of the week each of my classes fell upon.) Usually the Social Work and Community...
