Did wearing a school uniform can affect our studies?
JAM-Kingston-0710-74-v1

I mean if were not or wearing our uniform what is the importance of it in our studies? Did it will affect our studies? How is it related to our studies?

I'm going to take a stab at this question. I may be off but I do see a relationship between the two.

For example, for a student that has to wear a uniform he or she does not have to focus or worry about what s/he will wear everyday and what others may think of what s/he has on. The student can simply focus on his or her studies. My point, less stress on the student.

Thanks!

if you are a citizen of european union, do you have to wear a school uniform if you study in england?
GFC-Selection0608-60

if you only study there in england without living there permanently, do you still need to wear a uniform?

depends - many colleges don't have uniforms, and no universities do, so if you're studying at university level it's whatever (within reason!) you want to wear

most schools have uniforms for up to 16, and requirements like hair tied up if it's long, no piercings etc... over 16, some colleges ask you to wear suits instead of school uniform

school uniform requirements have nothing at all to do with the EU, it's up to the school/college

How can I look attractive in my school uniform? (14 year old female)?

I am a 14 year old girl, My uniform is polo shirt, green sweatshirt, black trousers, and black shoes. It is horrible (xD). I know am there to study but right after school is my drama club and there is this amazing guy, I cannot go home to get dressed as I live far away and drama is 10 minutes after school =( I know I am there to study, but this is after school drama =)

How much are you allowed to alter it? Getting a flattering cut to the trousers would be one of the first things I'd do, if they allow that. Do your hair in different and cute ways, and wear pretty makeup. Try and wear cute shoes, and accessorize, but don't go overboard. You still want it to all look like it goes together naturally.

A sweatshirt, seriously?? Ugh. :P Well, can you at least take that part off and just wear the polo shirt after school? I don't even know where to go with that sweatshirt. Yikes. A sweater, I can see, but...

Could you, perhaps, bring some spare clothes to change into between school and drama club? This could work. Something to remember, though, is that if you're th only one not still in your uniform, you might look like you're asking for attention, which is rarely a good thing.

Good luck.

Can my mom make me wear my school uniform until all my homeowrk is finished?

Well my mom has this new rule. When I get home, I cannot change out of my school uniform (Mon.-Thurs.) until all my homework is completed. Studying for tests do not count, but if I get a C+ or lower, I have to wear my school uniform all day Friday after school. I'm not even allowed to untuck my shirt when I get home. As for the weekends, Friday I can change when I get home (unless I got a C+ or lower). Saturday, I can wear whatever I want. But Sunday, after 8:00 AM Mass, I have to change into my school uniform and stay in it until all my homework is completed. I'm free to do any work on Friday and Saturday, but I'm usually busy those days. And since I'm in honors classes, and since it's a Catholic school, I'm get so much homework every night, especially on the weekends. So is this fair for me?

I actually think that is a great motivator. It's alot better than having privileges taken away, getting berated, or smacked around. Or having a parent that just simply doesn't care. And not to mention the fact that because YOU ARE in an honors program, (which is not something many can complain about!), says something about how good of a parent your mother is in the first place. Sure you do the homework and take the tests, but how did you end up being so ambitious? You probably take after your parents!
So I would say suck it up. Do your homework faster and study harder and you may not have that rule around for very long if you continue to prove yourself. And even if you do continue with this rule, it's a good one to have. Just make sure that you complete most of your homework at school, and when you come home and change your clothes on Friday, kick most or half if not all of your homework out of the way so you don't have to change into your school clothes on Sunday after church. I understand all you kids out there, I was your age once too. But you'll look back on this 10 years from now and say, "man, my mom loved me badly to make me work that hard to get me where I am today!" You'll appreciate it then and may even use it with your own! (lol)

Hurry up and get it done, girl!

what do you call a scientist who studies school stuff like uniforms and stuff like that?

can sombody please tell me the name of the person who studies the scool uniform system like if they should wear it or not and stuff like that

A sociologist would study the effects of wearing a school uniform and then publish a report on the findings. Whether to wear them or not is a value judgement not a product of a study.

School uniforms have been around for a very long time. Different types of schools require students to wear uniforms for a number of reasons. In some cities, the uniform policies have been established to reduce the problems associated with different styles of clothing. Today, there are many advantages for students and teachers when it comes to a uniform policy. Some private schools, the teachers must wear the uniform. Even if this policy is not as wide as the policies that require uniforms for students, the principle in both cases is the same. There is a consistency and uniformity is provided at school, when all the students using the same style of clothes. A major advantage for students is that there is no decision-making process when dressing for school. With the exception of clear days, when students can choose to use something other than their uniform to school, there's nothing to think about what to wear. For most students, this is a relief in more ways. Students who can not afford expensive clothes will not be ostracized by their clothing, because everyone wears the uniform. A major advantage for teachers is that students are easily recognizable at any time. This can be a serious problem for field trips or other occasions, when groups of students are under the responsibility of one or two teachers. At a glance, each student is easily identifiable by their uniform. School children who are not part of the school can be identified because they wear the school uniform. The same applies if there is a breach of security of the school. The school can be put into block and all students will be identified as those in uniform. School uniforms for the benefit of parents. In comparison, the uniforms cost a lot less than many types of clothing that the students how to use. The uniforms are not only less expensive but easy to clean and maintain. Many schools choose their uniform fashion accessories, like ties, cardigans and socks. Some high-end school uniforms are available with the initials embroidered on the lapel or in a pocket of shirts and jackets. Many students appreciate the chance to wear uniforms to school because they want to emphasize. Uniforms provide a way to feel like they meet with their peers, who can help strengthen your confidence. Many teachers believe that uniforms help students concentrate on what is important to their studies. But the differences are the clothing, the students are not distracted by comparison of their uniforms together. Uniform general cover not only the obligation to wear school uniform, but for use in a way that is respectful and presentable. This benefits students by teaching them to be proud of their look and feel part of a team of greater good and in groups, where everyone dressed alike and correctly use the uniform with pride.
