Well my friends were talking today about why I wear my uniform so much. I do it simply because, it's comfortable to me, and I don't like changing clothes multiple times a day (that means more laundry for me). Also, I'm involved at lot in my school after school and on the weekends, so I have to wear my uniform there or keep it on longer than them. I told them Saturday, I would not be busy at school. So they dared me to wear it all day Saturday and Friday after school. Here are the rules of the possible bet:
I have to wear nothing but my school uniform from Friday 7:00AM to Saturday 11:59 PM (this includes sleep). I cannot wear any makeup and only wear the school uniform sweater or sweater vest. We would sleep over at my friend Libby's house Fri. & Sat. Night. If I was caught more than 3 times with a uniform violation (shirt untucked, etc) I would not receive the $10. If I lose the bet, I would owe $10.
We would also go to the mall, movies, out to eat, etc, so I'd be wearing
it out in public on Friday Night and all day Saturday. And part of the bet, I couldn't tell anyone this was a bet. If they asked, I would have to make something up. If I tell someone that sees me that this is a bet, I'd lose the bet and have to pay $20.
So should I do it? Is it worth it? Would you do it?
Think about it, for a day and a half (not including the other half at school) of feeling different, you can make some lasting memories and an easy $10.

One of my friends is having a sleepover tonight. I was packing my stuff when she called. She said that if came in my school uniform (I have to be there at 10:00) and kept it on until 10:00 PM the next day, I would win $20. She said that could be the only clothes I could bring, nothing more, not even a jacket. The only other accessory can bring is the school uniform sweater or sweater vest. It's a sleepover with 4 other girls from my school and they all chipped in $5. We have to make a movie for Religion Class about why we love our school (this is why someone needs to wear a uniform all day). But anyways, should I? I wouldn't feel weird wearing it in front of them or when we film at the school later, but tomorrow, we are also going to the mall, to the movies, to the park, and out to eat somewhere. They said I would have to wear it like I would at school, like having my shirt tucked in. If was caught twice violating the "rules", I would lose my $20. I might even have to explain why
I'm doing this to people as part of our movie. I mean they would wear their uniforms in the movie at a part hwere we're all at school and for a little bit at the sleeppver, but I would be the one who never takes it off (because my character goes everywhere in her uniform. She even sleeps in it). But for one day of wearing clothes I wear the majority of the year anyways, I get an easy $20. So basically, shoud I do this? Would you do this? Is this worth $20?
YES! I would to win $20 that is nothing so go for it. it is an easy 20 bucks . . . I would!

How can I customize this uniform without getting in trouble?
This is the school uniform list:
SCHOOL UNIFORMS
We believe that the dress code is an important component in promoting and teaching many characteristics that we feel are essential such as responsibility, accountability, attention to detail, and the importance of a neat and well-groomed appearance. There are guidelines that govern dress and grooming to ensure a relatively consistent appearance. Our uniform also serves as a reminder that each of our students is a part of something special and unique, something that is greater than they are. Thus there are guidelines that govern dress and grooming to ensure a consistency of appearance. (I hate our principal for this. Ha)
DRESS CODE
1.All attire must be neat, clean, and appropriately sized. (Neat? Clean?)
2. Clothing Identification: To facilitate the return of lost clothing, all items should be clearly labeled with nametags or indelible ink. (On everything? Even pants? Who is going to steal my pants?! Stealing pants is SO un-American.
3. Uniform clothing is required for all grades, K4 - 12th, and must be purchased from certain stores: (I’m not going to list them) AND meet the uniform requirements detailed at the bottom of this section.
SHIRTS (Girls and Boys):
***School insignia is required. ***
- Any T-Shirt worn under a knit shirt must be solid white. Long sleeved T-Shirts are not allowed underneath short sleeved knit shirts.

SKIRTS (Girls):
- Skirts are to be fitted to the waist and no shorter than 4" above the knee.

JUMPERS (Girls):
- Jumpers must be no shorter than 4" above the knee.
BELTS (Boys and Girls):
- Belts must be worn with slacks and shorts. (No skirts? ha-ha)
- Solid black, brown or Plaid Belt (WHAT?!)
- Standard buckle (WHAT?!)

SOCKS (Boys and Girls): (why do they even have a section for socks?)
- Socks or Approved leg wear are required at all times. (Duh, because they don’t let us wear any sandals or heels)
- Only solid-colored black, brown, red, white, or gray socks are approved. (No purple?)
HOSIERY (Girls):
*** Socks or approved leg wear are required at all times. Leggings are not permitted. (Crap, no leggings…)
- Solid-colored opaque tights (Red, black, white, or gray)

THE FOLLOWING ARE PROHIBITED:
- Earrings on boys (emo kids are retaliating)
- Hats or sun glasses inside the buildings (Crap, no Dr. Seuss hat!)
- Bandannas (gangsters hate us.)

- Chains on Billfolds (*grumble*)
- Tattoos (OMG! What not? What are they going to scan you or something?)
- Black fingernail polish (Ha, I wear it to school sometimes. They never notice when you keep your hands in your pocket!)
- Any clothing or accessory that the administration deems unsuitable
Penalties for Dress Code Violations
Teachers are to send students to the Counselors Office if clothes are in question. Any student not dressed within the policy code will have his or her parents contacted. Repeated violations of dress code policy may result in the following:
1. The parent may bring the student appropriate clothing (the student will remain unexcused out of class until the appropriate attire is brought to the school). *so un-cool*
2. The student may purchase acceptable clothing in the school store if it is available (parents will be billed for the purchase).
3. The student will serve in-school suspension. Continued violations of school dress code policy may result in suspension or expulsion. *WTF?!*
This sucks. I NEED REAL CLOTHES! In addition, I thought this school supported freedom to Americans and non conformity? I guess not…
I agree Abby <3, that isn't right! Emo kids are mad because they don't have their earrings where they want, and can't wear nail polish.
But I think our school just trys to make us look representable, because we get vistors...alot. Haha.
GEEZ!! It's like they are trying to make you be what they want you to be. That isn't right!
Anyways, try wearing cute nail polish, cute earrings, and shoes. And maybe a necklace and rings. And a scarf, if they allow that.
My school requires that we wear a uniform. We have little flexibility with the uniform, white blouse under a blue or green sweater vest, plaid skirt, white, navy, green or nude tights or white knee high socks and black flat mary janes.
What does your uniform look like? Do you mind wearing it? Do you have any flexibility with it?
well, i'm wearing a school uniform for halloween:
