School Uniform Wear

My son goes to secondary school who have strict rules on uniform and he is not allowed to wear trainers to school. I often see children in uniform wearing expensive trainers (I recognise the brands). Surely the parents are spending more money on trainers than they would on school shoes.

I don't know, I just don't know. maybe ? nah...... or ? nah.....

maybe just maybe, its the dad that lets them ?
plus some schools dont say you cant, just that they have to be black sensible shoes.

Just because you have to wear a uniform to school doesn't mean you can't assert your individuality.

I want to show my support for the education system by wearing school uniform skirts. Do you think its bad to wear these skirts without the rest of the uniform?

Why is it bad? Who cares what other people think? If you like your school skirt, then find a suitable top to go with it. Unless you plan on going topless. LOL

No not really if the skirt is pleated but yeah sure. It'll look better the other way around with a uniform shirt and blue jean skirt

i wan't to know your opinion on schools uniforms! if your in school that you need to wear uniform, do you like wearing uniforms?

Yes school uniforms are good for both the students and school

School pride
Everyone is dress the same so you can't tell the rich kid for the poor ones
It put less pressure on parent having to fork out for kids latest craze on fashion and peer pressure from fellow students.

I wore a school uniform from the age of four till I was seventeen. No it didn't take my individuality away etc.

On the Wright Stuff this morning the question arose about children and school uniforms in the UK. Someone said that children in Europe do not wear school uniform - but I seem to remember in Spain and Cyprus seeing children in uniforms. What say you?

They do in Ireland and some schools (Private) Have a school uniform policy in France.

I think school uniform is a great way to ensure that all children do not get so easily bullied at school simply because mums and dad can't afford the new pair of 'Must have' Trainers or whatever else.
