A lot of school girls in my area wear black or grey trousers as part of their uniform. How do I prevent myself from being mistaken for one of them as I'm petite and look younger than I am

Our school is really strict, so i'm only aloud natural coloured nail varnish, school uniform has to look very smart. blazer, tie etc

Little things, like swapping a boring v-neck school jumper for a scoop neck one, or get subtly patterned tights. Wear pretty shoes:) ballet flats that aren't totally plain. Wear a bright coloured hairband and make sure you make an effort with your hair don't just scrape it back, natural/loose curls are good.
Always make sure you are clean and fresh, don't let your hair get greasy and wear a subtle sweet perfume (but only a tiny bit).
My school uniform is a white long sleeve shirt, tie, black trousers and a jumper. I want to be able to wear it properly (eg top button done up, shirt tucked in) because i think it looks better and smart. But most other kids wear it scruffy and even my friends. I think that it would give a good impression of me too.
But I think the kids might think I'm a bit of a nerd..

just wear it the way you feel comfy. your self worth and self confidence are apparently higher than other kids at your school. Be glad that your cleaned up and nice looking. dont go with what they feel you should do. because no ones opinion of you should be more important to you than YOURS!
Yeah my school starts again in three weeks and i feel like having a change of style. So what way would you where this uniform ; Black trousers, white shirt (long or short sleeved), red and black stripped tie, black shoes and a V neck sweater (Optional).

It makes me laugh that pupils try so hard to make their uniform look individual, and end up looking the same as everyone else! See your last answer..."wear your tie like everyone else" If you really want to look different, try wearing your uniform correctly. The teachers will all drop dead in amazement, which can only be a good thing, and you will be truly unique... and get more free time since you won't be in detention so much!
don't you ever notice, the first day at back at school after summer hols, you are smart in your school uniform, then after a while your back to what you normally look like in the middle of the year or something and just forget to look very smart, but just look normal.
its happens it happens all the time, and just noticed it.
p.s. i'm not back at school or anything, and i am 14.....
I've noticed that myself. I only look smart for a week and a day. That's mostly because of picture day. Gotta look fresh!!
