Summer School Uniform

I go to a Catholic school and was wondering if you have to wear uniform for summer school in that school?

no. nobody wore there uniforms to summer school because there are going to be other kids who do not go to your school who don't have one

I am in the Yearbook Club. We meet a lot, usually after school. But occasionally, we also meet on the weekends and will meet over the summer. When the meetings were not on school days, we were allowed to come in whatever we want. A couple of months ago, we went on a field trip to a printing press / newspaper station on a Saturday. Because we were going to be out and public and the teachers wanted us to be easy to find, the school had us wear our school uniforms. I thought nothing of it at the time. But from then on, we were told to come to all Yearbook meetings in our uniforms. It's a real pain to have to change into something I already wear 5 times a week on a Saturday. My friends always have plans, so that means I have to go home and change and go back out. And when I come over to my friends' houses after these weekend meetings, they make a big deal about me being in my school uniform on a Saturday. So can I do something about it? Can they do this to us on the weekends?

Yeah they can. It's part of the school, and Yearbook is not required. It's like asking if you can be forced to wear a basketball jersey at your basketball game.

i am just curious to know........my ex- girlfriend's high school summer uniform is sleeveless, therefore i wonder if there are other such schools around the world?

Ok well like lots of kids in the summer, I want to make some money. But I am not old enough to get a part job somewhere. My Catholic School does a Summer Tutoring Program. It is available to any boys and girls of any school (1st to 8th grade) and goes every Monday to Friday for about 8 hours a day from June 25 to August 3 (our summer vacation is from June 24 to August 6). That means I will be at school tutoring 27 of my 42 days of summer break (we get July 3-5 off). That's about 216 hours of my summer. I get paid $6 an hour (I know it's below minimum). After doing the math, I can make $1,296 in this short summer. Since you have to meet certain criteria to be eligible to tutor, all my closest friends will not be doing this. Not a lot of people I know or hang out with will be doing this. But another major downside to this is we will have to wear our school uniforms to the tutoring sessions. So that means over half the summer, I will have to wear my school uniform. The
students recieving the tutoring do not have to wear uniforms. And the teachers can wear anything they want (within reason). Personally, I think this is unfair. I was planning on just going over to one my friends' houses after tutoring to hang out and relax after a long day, but I don't know if I really want to go if I will be the only one there in my school uniform (in the summer!!!). So, can they do this? Is it fair? Is it worth it? What should I do?

The funny thing about working for someone else is that they have the right to tell you what your uniform needs to be. If you want to do this job, wear your uniform.

Think of it this way, you are going to be a role model for the other kids and you are going to be someone they look up to. If you don't feel you should follow the rules, you won't be a good role model.

I know that is not the answer you want, but wearing your uniform is the right thing to do - without complaint - if you want the job.

Gosh, this is fun, my third question already and lox of helpful stuff.
Um . . . okay i loves my summer school uniform its neat with white knee hight sox and lovely maryjane shoes. But my date is a few years older than me and i'm already constantly being mistaken for being younger than i am cause well basically i'm well the smallest girl in my high school for my age. Should i get the bus home incase he sees me looking like that before we date or shouldn't i worry about that?

well if you look that young then he's got to know that your in high school. so as long as he's not thirty or something why should it matter if he see's u in your uniform. infact knowing how perverted guys are he will probably think its hot. so if your comfotable with it let him see you. trust me he'll probably like it alot. well good luck :)
