For high school I am going to be attending Alexander Hamilton Preparatory Academy for 4 years and it is a uniformed school. The blazes is dark blue, the pants are khaki, the shoes are black, the tie is black and the under shirt is white. How can I customize it? Please help me.

The very definition of a uniform makes this a tricky issue. Some options you may have, depending on the specifics of the dress code are:

Blazer--custom buttons (you should find them for sale online), side vents (or ventless), and if permissible, a pocket square.

Pants--you will be very limited here, but you should be able to choose between pleats or non, and plain or cuffed hems.(avoid cuffs without pleats).

Shoes--go to zappos.com and pick one of thousands of pairs that fall within the dress code

Shirt and tie--they will probably require that they be solid, but may allow tonal stripes or patterns.

Best of look, just remember to check your school's dress code prior to investing too much in these options.

you can stand out by the jewerly you wear and how you wear your hair. i have a school uniform too and thats the way i stand out

We seem to be obsessed with school uniform in the UK.

The vast majority of students, teachers and parents all support it. Nobody is actually happy about the uniform they have to wear but most people want a uniform of some kind.

Uniform causes incredibly bitter disputes between students and schools, especially where the parents support the child.

Scools invest a massive amount of time and effort in policing minor uniform infractions.

Most other countries have no uniform but higher educational standards. If uniform is a good thing, why don't other countries copy our example?

No it doesn't at all, TRUST me...
I have attended Catholic school for half of my life, and they require us to wear a uniform.
At the same time, people are still in gangs, smoke/started smoking, got into fights, and more....
You can't teach a child discipline by giving them a certain outfit to wear.

I just transfered from a public school to a private school last year. The people still acted the same - actually worse! And most of them have been wearing uniforms for most of their life.

It seems like the norm today is to always leave school uniform shirts untucked. Yet all models tuck in their shirt tightly in their school uniform videos. Why?? Is there any video or picture that they go with the norm and leave the shirt untucked?

Cause it looks neat and groomed. They are models remember they are ment to look cute and groomed. Not messy and unkept. lol.
