tonight is back to school night. its not for a few hours but i need to figure this out ahead of time. How can i get my mom (who will be going to every single one of my classes) to just go in sit listen and go out of the classroom without her talking to the teachers after the talk?
It depends on your reasoning... If it makes you feel embarrassed and uncomfortable then just be honest. Nicely explain to her how you think it will make you feel and then ask that she keep the conferences short. Say please. :) Good luck!

I'm kind of a stickler for bedtime, but my partner's son seems to have a million tricks up his sleeve when it comes to postponing bedtime. He's often able to fudge it an extra 45 minutes to an hour or even more.
How much extra time past bedtime is unreasonable on a school night?
Well, really they shouldn't be allowed any unless its a good reason. (You guys had a family night, or were out late for a club etc).
If he is being tricky to get extra time, or stalling (you know taking 20 min to brush his teeth). Maybe tell your partner to start the bedtime "ritual" early. If his average squeeze is 45 min, have him start getting ready a 7pm, to go to bed at 8pm. If he whines about let him know that until he can get ready on time that’s how its going to be.
or try using a timer...for some reason with kids timers work wonders.

Nine-year-old too scared to go to school because of bullies
The woman, of Arnold, claims her grandson was not allowed to go home until the end of the school day, something she says she is "disgusted" about.
"This happened at lunchtime and he had to sit in lessons in pain all afternoon," she said. "And then all his mum had was a note in his organiser to say he had been bullied.
"He has been off for a week now and we haven't had any contact from the school to ask how he is.
"I believe the school should have taken stronger action. He cannot go back to the school while the boys who are bullying him are there, which they still are.
"We are disgusted in how this has been treated. He is the victim here, yet we don't feel any action is being taken to put it right. He is too scared to go back to school."
The family's complaint comes at the start of Anti-Bullying Week, which is being run throughout the country until Friday.
Parents are being called on to report any bullying they hear about at their child's school, while advice is being given out to try to stamp it out.

“Now, now. Let’s have a little decorum here,” said the principal. “You wouldn’t use that behavior in front of your children.” These people were barbarians. Half of them never showed up for their parent/teacher conferences . . . let alone when there was a school performance or team-spirit event.
