I'm trying to save as much money as possible while shopping for back to school supplies. When do the stores have the best sales? Are there any other money saving tips anyone can offer?
Probably after the back-to-school rush. Unfortunately, most of the supplies are already gone. Try going to a store (I suggest a discount store, like WalMart or even a dollar store) that's in an area where the schools start very early, so the sales are early too. Just an idea. Good luck!

I last went on a huge shopping spree in around May and I sorted out my entire wardrobe about a week ago. I go back to school on September 1st and I'm wondering what I should buy and when? There aren't many restrictions at my school about what to wear. And I'm new so what should I wear without looking desperate?
i know, but you gotta wear what you're comfortable in! otherwise you'll end up looking desperate. you should probably go shopping with in the next week. i'd buy some skinny jeans, a vest, some flats, and some graffic tees. good luck, and have fun shopping!
I know school isn't for another two months but I was wondering what a good budget for back to school shopping is for clothing. I'm going into grade nine next semester so I wanna look nice I guess. But I don't wanna spend too little or too much. Any good range? Also where are good stores to get nice cloths but cheap too?

&& Honestly you really wont need that many clothes since your are going to 9th grade becuase your body really probably wont start growing until Sophmore year so dont buy so many clothes you wont be able to fit NEXT YEAR.
Shop for the bargains and then the Name Brand you please. That way you wont spend like all your money on two shirts and three pair of jeans && no shoes

My daughter is 14 and is going back to school shopping soon. She loves places like Hollister, American Eagle, and Aeropastle, but is tired of having the same 3 brands in her closet.

School starts on September 7th for me, but I like to get the whole back-to-school shopping thing done in August. What do you think is the best date to go to the mall, so that the stores have gotten all their fall clothing in but still have some summer sale items? I just don't want to go shopping too late so that there is still a good selection of clothing left. Help is greatly appreciated!
Stores are starting to get their fall stuff in now, so summer stuff is all going on clearance. You'll be able to get cute sweaters, and cheap camis. =)

But you could get way more for you money at like hollister or abercrombie. if thats not your style then you could go to pac sun or sun diego. and get your bras at taget…their way cheaper and do the same thing.
i think its fine to splure on one or two pairs of jeans but thats where i would draw the line.
finally i understand that everyone gives themselves different budgets for back to school shopping. if yours is 1500$ then thats great. but if i were you i would go to stores like the ones i listed. you could get so many different things for that budget and get one AMAZINGwardrobe!!!

I think that your shopping list is very reasonable, just a little pricey though. I really think that it’s good that you want to be prepaired and you definatly will. You will have a good reputation for dressing well, I think that it’s fine. I only spent 300$ on school shopping, but I didn’t think that I needed any more than I had.
