I have been there before in winter and I ski but I want to learn how to snowboard this summer (im gonna be there) and I also want to make friends or meet ppl other than just hang uot with my fmly all the time. Im 15. Is there a ski school there, and will I be able to meet ppl my age and hang out???? If so what is a good place to go, and how do I break the ice??/

i have been to breckenridge before and it is amazing!!! when at ski school i would be really nice and funny. Give compliments on ski cloths and other stuff. When you on the runs and mess up laugh at yourself. Try to have a good time and be really outgoing. Im leaving for aruba in 20 min with my family. I know what you mean when you say you dont want to hang out just with your family!!! Good Luck hope all goes super and you make lots of friends!!

I am from New England and we have a week at the end of february off from school, and i am going out to Breckenridge/ vail to ski. I was wondering if Colorado had a vacation in february.

Vail Bets Recession Over as US Ski Resorts Begin Recovery
Oct. 26 (Bloomberg) -- Vail Resorts Inc. ’s season pass sales rose 13 percent in September as skiers eager for powder prepared to make tracks a year after the financial crisis.
“This year the economy is still struggling but there is more confidence that it’s not getting dramatically worse,” Robert Katz , chief executive officer of Vail Resorts, said in an interview. “The economic issues that we faced last year started right at the beginning of ski season and got worse until the end of the season.” The company operates five U.S. ski properties.
Resort operators are forecasting increases in bookings this season after the recession kept some snow lovers home last year. Lodging and slopes close to metropolitan areas such as New York, Denver and Los Angeles stand to benefit the most as residents stay closer to home, said Ralf Garrison, an analyst with the Denver-based Mountain Travel Research Program .
Bookings at ski resorts made in August for all future arrivals were up 2 percent year over year, Garrison said.

Skier services will include ticket sales, rental operations and food service at Peak 8 as well as ticket sales at the BreckConnect Gondola.
Parking & Prizes
Parking will be free all weekend (Nov 12-15) in the North and South Gondola lots, as well as the Beaver Run lot. New this season, parking in the Gondola lots will be $5 during the week (Mon-Thurs) and $10 on weekends (Fri-Sun) and Holidays; the Beaver Run lot will be $15.
