I'm thinking of studying in Brussels for a semester...Tell me what you know and think about this city ( PLS no answers like: it's the capital of europe..good beer..etc! that much i know!)
Is the french they speak there the same as france's french?
What are Brussels' citizens like?
Are all the girls blondes?
Are there nice parks?
How are the museums?
Is their royal family as crazy as the british royal family?
Are there lots of concerts or rock shows with famous bands?
Is it cheap to fly from there to other European major cities?
What do u have to say about the Solvay Business School?
Even if there is blond and brown beers, no , all the girls aren't blond!
Even in Northern countries, they aren't.
Nice museum, Modern, ancient arts. And archaeological too.... In fact so many that it is not really possible to say...
Even a movies museum!
A worldwide renewed opera house, nice to visit if you don't like the music.
A very large concert hall for all kind of rock and roll... and all kind of other smaller venues to enjoy it...
Brussels is also renewed for Indie rock, jazz festivals and so on...
On architecture, well kept Art Nouveau, Bauhaus and old Flemish styles houses...
Some of the Belgian expressions in French do make the Frenchies smile, however we understand each other, no problem...
Ryannair is very much in Belgian, so cheap flying is possible and I think they are special rail passes (European ones)...
O! Solvay?! I see... I will check and tell you later...
Do you really mind about the Royal family?
And there is a forest called the forest de Soignes which is of course a bit out of the centre...
Parks? Of course!
Gardens too...
And even a little wood called Bois de la Cambre...
Look, it is far easier when you ask questions!
Yep friends! I know you've missed it! So merry christmas! But - this ain't just for christmas - it's for life! If that makes any kind ...

You do realise that these places are quite far apart, and that Europe is a big place, at least as big as the US?
You won't have the time to go to all of those places, dear. Not even if you travelled every single day. Cut the number of destinations in half and you'll enjoy it a lot better.
Now, you can take the train between various countries, local buses, and there are also ferries that cross the seas. Right now I would avoid Greece, there's trouble brewing there.
At the moment Brussels creates 75 percent of UK law. And according to the UK Independence Party, the EU is costing the UK £40 million a day to be in the eu. Money which could go towards better schooling, hospitals and so on.
They say the only people who should decide who can come to live, work and settle in Britain should be the British people themselves. We can only do this outside of the EU political union. The BNP also want out. Should Britain pull out of Europe.
Personally yes but what I really want to see is a referendum so that the people can decide.
I, along with millions of others, voted in the original referendum but that was to encourage trade only.
Voting time soon.

If you don't agree why? If you live abroad and you was in the UK what would you think. Should Britain pull out of Europe.
Yes I agree, and UKIP have been working toward this for years and are now very close to achieving it, UKIP being the fourth largest party and are level in the poles with Labour party, they have a good chance of winning and toppling George Brown, which can't be a bad thing. The £40 million is only for our membership, then we have the many laws from Brussels to implement which pushes this up to around £100 Million.
From Brussels to Bolgatanga: The Best of Both Worlds < Belgian ...
It starts with a chapter in a Secondary School geography book.
It ends with a borehole.
And in between there is tribal dancing, customised water bottles, lawyers and a group of passionate students. The lesson learned: the road from Brussels, Belgium and Bolgatanga, Ghana runs two ways.
Beyond the Textbook
John Knight, Assistant Head, at The British School of Brussels, was teaching a lesson on development and poverty from a textbook that used a remote Ghanaian village as an example. As he was explaining the development gap and the difficulty villagers faced in moving away from poverty he could tell the students were struggling to make the connection - perhaps because the cultural differences were just too far removed. Soon after, John came across the Urban Development and Education Foundation (UD-EF), a charity who by coincidence happened to be working in Bolgatanga – the exact location featured in the book. “From...
