I got my GED when i was 16 and was never really sure what i wanted to do with my life and now I'm trying to look into nursing school. I never took an SAT or ACT and have some college credit but nothing major to help my cause. Am I wasting my time even looking into it? If so what type of programs should I look into in the medical field that actually promise a career? Please and Thank You.
They require that you either have taken the SAT, ACT or what they call an admission assessment before you can be accepted. You aren't necessarily wasting your time as nursing is a very in demand career right now and does pay pretty well.
Since Chamberlain College of Nursing is a for-profit school, they will accept anyone who meets the minimum requirements.
I will be starting in March 2009 and I wanted to hear from other people about their experience with this school.
Wow, I was just accepted to this school too and I will be starting in march 09. If you go to allnurses.com, you can search for the school and read all about what people are saying about the school. I've heard a lot of great things which made me feel good about my decision to attend there. But on the other hand I've read some not so great things too. So I got mixed reviews, however I'm still excited to be starting! Maybe I will see u around campus.
I am planning on enrolling into nursing school soon and have been studying the Hesi Assesment exam guide and was just wondering what material the test actually covers? I am enrolling into Chamberlain College of Nursing in Columbus Ohio. What sections of the test are your scores based on? I was told it was only the math and reading portions, but would like to make sure.
Basically wondering what I need to know for this exam so I can study it to the fullest. Mostly concerned about the math portion. Any response will be appreciated, thank you.

Hesi Admission Exam
I would really like some feedback from previous students from this college. The college I have questions about is Chamberlain College of Nursing in Illinois. Is this a good school or not. I understand that they are in affiliation with Devry Inc. but claim that they are a private school... is it being ran as an actual private school?? And How is their housing. I am very concerned about that. Is it neat, Landlords nice, pool?, etc. All comments appreciated.. No rude comments please.

You can get an equal or superior nursing education at a community college or state 4 year college for about 1/10th the cost. There is absolutely no advantage either academically or financially in going to Chamberlain.
