I want to know if Concord Law School is ligit and should I go there to Study Law Online!?

I am thinking about going to law school and my overall career goal is to work in the Federal Govt, I would like to know if studying Law Online at Concord Law School would be worth it. It's an online Law school but its the first school that is nationally accredited but not ABA still I am told you can get admitted to Federal Court with a JD from Concord. Any Help would be Appreciated.

Concord Law School Graduate Larry David on a 'Rigorous JD Program'

Practicing family attorney Larry David discusses how his education at Concord Law School equaled--and exceeded—more traditional law schools; and ...

What are the chances Concord University Law School students will get to take the Georgia Bar within 5 years?

I have a Doctorate in Education and am about to pursue a law degree online through the outstanding school, Concord University Law School. This will qualify me to take the California bar, but I would like to figure out the best way to be admitted to the Bar in Georgia. Could I add on an LLM from an ABA school to qualify to take the Bar in Georgia? What are the steps I can take to impact legislation in this matter?

Hmm... a quick look at the Georgia Bar Examiners website says no on the LLM. To take the bar exam or waive in by motion you need an ABA-approved JD.

I think there was actually a bill on this issue back in January, but was defeated.

There is a provision in the bar rules that talks about schools that are not ABA accredited but nevertheless approved by the bar examiners. I think this refers to the unaccredited law schools that were allowed to keep operating in Georgia until 1998 when the last of them closed. But since the rule is still on the books, it might be your best bet to get Concord to become state bar approved even if it's not ABA approved.

What are the exact steps I could take to get Concord University Law School approved by the Georgia Bar?

Should I write letters giving reasons why Concord University Law School should be admitted to the Georgia Bar, or would a petition by citizens be effective? I'm a 1L student with a Doctorate in Curriculum and Education. I have already written the Georgia Senate asking to be able to contribute to the study of new methodologies of legal education.

You can not do this alone. The correct procedure is that the professors of Concord University along with the Administrators and staff must petition the the Georgia Bar to be granted approval. They must first inquire on the standards and procedures, that Concord must meet in order to be granted approval. Then they must write a formal document that gives several years of proof of how they have been and will continue to meet those standards and procedures. This could be a very long and costly process; however, Concord would benefit by the approval, because they would certainly benefit from being able to recruit future lawyers from GA.

What you could do, is steer your letters to the professors and the administration of Concord. Ask them to seek approval by the GA. Bar.

does anyone have any experience with Concord Law school?

They are a online school that is accredited but you can only attain your Bar license in CA. Has anyone ever received their Bar in another state?
Can this even be done ?

The ABA will not accredit this school or any other online law school (if one exists). The California Bar is probably the hardest bar exam to pass in the country, the passage rate is approximately 50%. If you attend a non-ABA accredited law school, the rate goes down a bit, if you attend an non ABA accredited law school that happens to be online, your passage rate cannot help but drop even further.

If by some slim chance you happen to pass the California Bar, you will ONLY be allowed to practice in California. Then you will have to worry about the fact that law is a very elitist field, no law firm worth its salt will want to hire you from Concord Online Law School - they will surely wonder why you weren't able to get into a real law school.

If you are smart enough to get into law school, you should definitely attend an ABA accredited law school with a physical campus. If the LSAT is what you're worried about, check out these little known tips:

Please don't waste your time and money on something as nonsensical as an online law school.

Anyone attended Concord Online Law School?

I'm looking to hear from people who have completed Concord or any of the online law schools that offer the JD. How successful have you been with that degree?
Thank you for all responses but my question was that I wanted to hear from people who ATTENDED Concord or another online law school. My post was not a solicitation for opinions of online law schools. PLEASE ONLY respond if you ACTUALLY attended the school. Thanks

My brother did he sayed it was outstanding
