Anybody that has attended to DUI school in California? How is it like?

I'm pretty sure the point of DUI school is to impress the person with the DUI how important it is for them never to drive under the influence again. Attending in person will probably be part of the impression. There will be others there who have made the same mistake. They can perhaps learn from each other. Convenience is not the point.

My license was revoked in 1993 by the CA DMV. I have since moved to NM and would like to apply for a drivers license. I did not attend DUI school prior to leaving CA . Is there a way to transfer CA school requirements to NM?

I just have to see my kids in the Philippines for a few months and not get arrested when i get back.... My understanding with DUI school is that I have to finish the class to obtain my license back after my suspension and is not part of the court order. But i will definitely finish the program cause i will need to drive when i get back. can anyone please give me an opinion about this?

If you're not going to finish the class you've registered for, don't register for the class.

Thanks for your answers. I suppose I should have been more specific because americanfreeman came closest to what I wanted to find/not find. I'm curious if they teach about the disease of alcoholism, loss of control and progression, and what do they teach about treatment?

I completed a DUI class and I received the certificate for completing the class. It has my information on there such as: birthdate, full name, date, and citation number of the ticket. When the DMV receives this to reinstate my license..do they check and match that citation number? or do they just clear you by looking up your name/dob? Thanks.

Yes, there is a system of checks and balances to ensure people do not "cut and paste" information from another person's certificate.
