how years are of elementary school

First is Kindergarten. Then first, followed by second, third, etc. up until fifth. In America sixth through eighth are usually called middle school or junior high school, and then of course, comes high school.

I need some questions that might be easy for an elementary school student to do, but harder for someone in middle school. The grades of that question for elementary school would be kindergarten through sixth. Middle school would be seventh and eighth. If you can't think of any at the top of your head, please give me a good website in which I can find some questions. The questions/problems can involve easy math questions, or random questions or something. Thank you and best answer WILL be chosen!

We would like to send our child to a private elementary school in a couple of years. The tuition is 12K. We will probably have an income of 100K at that time. Can you deduct elementary school education from your taxes or are there any tax breaks for this type of thing?
Shoot. We'll just have to apply to one of the magnet schools. 12k is tough with no tax breaks.

I'm curious about this because I want to teach elementary and even with all the fieldwork and student teaching I've done in college I still wonder if at the end of the day when all the kids have gone home, is that the end of the day for the teachers as well? Or does the principal expect you to volunteer for after school programs, do you stay in your room and do lesson planning?

I'm an elementary teacher and no our work day doesn't end when the kids go home (most people assume this, so don't worry.) Our contract (in my district) states that we have to remain on campus a minimum of 30 minutes after school's out. Most of us stay longer to grade papers, plan lessons, prep for the next day, etc. We usually do not "volunteer" for after school programs although we do have assigned duties that are handed out at the beginning of the year by the principal. Also, districts generally offer professional development classes after school, which helps when we update our credentials (according to NCLB.) Good luck in your journey! It's a rewarding career. :-)
