It's kind of a large sum of money to have to pay up front for esthetician school. Does anyone know of any financial aid of any sort to help pay for this?
I think your best option would be to take out a private loan through Sallie Mae or wherever you currently do your banking. If this program is eligible for federal student loans, you could apply for loans and grants through www.fafsa.org.

I am really interested in make-up artistry but I feel like from what others have told me that going to esthetician school gives you a better advantage when getting a job and having steady pay. I'm somewhat interested in skin care but I'm more of an artistic creative person and I woudl enjoy doing make-up. Any advice>?
Become an esthetician - it gives you a definite advantage.
I would like to become a make-up artist but I also would love to learn about skin on the face. I am stuck between what schools I should go to first. I live in LA so I could go to a make-up school and get a certificate or go to a esthetician school and get an actuall licence. I don't know what I should do first?
go to esthetician first and if u dont get what u want or just think u should go to make up school then u should and u will have the extra experience and that has it advantages
I want to become a makeup artist and I have two different schools in mind, the cosmetology school is in town and teaches esthetics in the program and basic makeup artistry. The school is 15,000
The Esthetician school is specifically skin and makeup and costs 11,000
Which one would give me a better job outlook?
Probably I would choose the second one - The Esthetician school. Not because it is less expensive. I think there are many people with bad skin that you can cure. The makeup I am not fond of. Choose what you like the most to do. I think you'll find a well paid job, doesn't matter which one you choose. :) Good luck!
