Etiwanda High School vs Alta Loma High School.?
Class of 2010

Right now I'm on Summer vacation. But I'm going to attend Alta Loma High School like I have been for the past 2 years. But I was thinking about going to Etiwanda with my cousins.... I wanted to know which school is better education wise. Which one has high test scores? or which one has a wider variety of clubs I can join. I want to know how the people are in Etiwanda because I already know the people that go to alta loma.

I want to know if it's worth going an extra 20 minutes just to attend another high school.

They rank almost exactly the same 784 and 783 so it does not matter. I would not go 20 minutes more to go to one over the other.

Etiwanda High School

this is what me and my friends do at school!!

Go to EHS,

I mean, you can have a good time, and an acceptable education. I mean, they HAVE to teach you, and you'll still be getting your diploma.

The California Education Code (EC) establishes minimum requirements for graduation from California high schools. These requirements should be seen as minimums and support regulations established by local school boards.

The California State University (CSU) and the University of California (UC) have established a uniform minimum set of courses required for freshman admission. The UC has created a Doorways (Posted 01-Jan-2009; Outside Source) site that provides complete information about the high school courses approved for university admission. In addition to the required courses, California public universities have other freshman admission requirements (Posted 01-Jan-2009; Outside Source).

JV or Varsity VOLLEYBALL TEAM PLEASE HELP!!?

HI IM IN THE 8TH GRADE RIGHT NOW AND I JUST GOT DONE WITH MY SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL SEASON AND I WANTED TO KNOW WHICH TEAM FOR HIGH SCHOOL NEXT YEAR WOULD BE GRET FOR ME HERE IS MY DESCRIPTION
IM 5'6
WORKING ON MY SPIKING BUT VER ALL FORM IS NICE
I NEED TO WORK FOR ON MY OVERHAND SERVE I CAN DO IT THOUGH
I CAN KIND OF SET IM ALSO PRACTICING
GREAT PASSER
I CAN DIG
I REALLY WANT TO MAKE THE JV OR VARSITY TEAM AT ETIWANDA HIGH I GOT THE MOST IMPROVED TROPHY OUT OF MY WHOLE TEAM AND I CAN STRETCH MY ARMS BACK REALLY AR IF THE SET IS OFF A LITTLE AND MY COACH SAY I HAVE ANTICIPATION ALOT OF IT.

Your school's win/loss record isn't great

http://www.highschoolsports.net/defaultc al.cfm?ct=s&schoolid=CA9173916475&am p;spt=18&lvl=-1&division=2

If you still need work on a basic skill like the overhand serve you will probably need to be happy making the freshman team. If possible join a volleyball club and get some serious training. Also go to club clinics and private lessons all summer. Also check to see if your school hosts a summer clinic - so you can get your name/face out there with the coaches. Don't worry about it if you don't get asked to try out for JV. Your skills may be already filled by older players. The best thing to do now is go to the JV and freshman games to see who plays and if there are any weak players you could replace. If the team is lacking a defensive specialist then you should focus on that kind of training (given your hieght that's probably your best position unless you have a crazy good vertical of 3 feet or more)

  • Boys Hoops: Etiwanda delivers 85-59 knockout over Glendora, who ...

Glendora will be fine. etiwanda is at another level this year and it will take a major let down for them to lose a game in league this year. the real battle will be the scrum for the 2-5 spots...osos, upland, glendora and rancho can and probably will earn splits with each other. upland beat osos last night, and glendora beat osos tuesday night. so the scrum is already on the way....

SGV 30 Years: It doesn't work that way anymore with the basketball divisions. There is no-longer a minimum-win requirement. For example, in Glendora's Division - 2A - there are 42 schools. So with a 32-team bracket, if 32 schools earn automatic bids, there will be no at-large bids in that division; if 28 to, there will be four and so on. So depending on the division, an easy December schedule can help you, but in some cases, it won't matter, either.

I agree SGV... the benefit factor from playing the "best of the best" win or lose it’s a path to ready you for playoffs. This only works if your coaching staff is willing to adjust. But keep in mind... just because your team does lose and you willing to adjust and modify your game... you have to keep in mind that the team that beat you previously, may just do the same.... that seems to be forgotten!
