Uh, you need to ask the school what options they have for financial aid first... They'll probably have you fill out a fafsa (I think) and they will likely have scholarships (that don't have to be paid back) to offer you.
AFTER you figure out as much scholarship and grant money (stuff that won't have to be paid back) as possible, THEN you look into loans... Private Student Loans (not just 'random loans from a bank') have pretty medium interest rates, actually. About 5 to 7 percent added to your actual rate based on the credit of you and/or a cosigner.

ok, im actually applying to a private high school next year. my family has a pretty low income. im afraid that it is actually very low. Is it possible for the income to be so low, that the school won't help me with enough financial aid, and consequently won't be accepted?
Yes, it is possible they won't give you any or enough financial aid to go to a private high school. You sometimes can look on the schools site for an "average" financial aid award to see if you even have a chance. Also remember that not all "financial aid" is free money. Some financial aid is in the form of loans which must be paid back. If your parents start balking, it's probably because they can't afford the payments to get your school paid off before you have to go back again or go off to college.
