What are all of the running distances and times required in USAF BMT and the USAF Firefighter school?

What are the other exercises/obstacles required for passing Firefighter training school?

I read that for graduation you do a 2-2.5 mile run as well though. Is this true?

I have also read you can go in as firefighter.

Do you mind if I ask where you got your information from?

for males the minimum time to get is an 11:55 second mile and a half. For females it is 13:45. All you need to do is maintain those times to stay in any part of the air force. But believe me if you intend to go into the air force, prepare for a LOT of running. If you are trying for firefigher tech school, u will have to wait to cross train into that. u just cant start off in that career field

i can only afford to do one right now, my volunteer department wants me to take firefighter 1 with the other recruits. should i do that or take the cpat? i figure i might as well go to fire school because the cpat is available again in the fall.

Most Firefighter-1 academies require the Cpat prior to entry, and some even require EMT + Cpat. I would check with the academy you will be attending first to see if they require the Cpat.

Im graduationg highschool next year in southern california, and was wondering where I should go to school to become a firefighter.

Any number of schools have Fire Science programs. I know that Long Beach City College does as well as El Camino College in Torrance. As Southern California covers from Ventura County all the way down to Mexico and all the way out to the Nevada and Arizona borders, I am not sure where you are so check with your local community colleges or contact your local fire service agency to see if they know of any reputable fire schools in your area.

I am joining the air national guard and trying to learn a little about my tech school. I know nothing about the fire protection school. do you get weekends off? pt ? what about the town? any ideas of what to expect thanks greatly

Visitor info for San Angelo. San Angelo has some good Mexican food and steaks. Don't go to chain restaurants when you have the chance to go off base and out to eat. Eat at local places. Much better food.

I am a 23 Y/O firefighter working at a airport so its not that busy, but As you know every week I have differents days of work. I have my GI bill and I want to go back to school FT and take advantage of it. Physical Theropy will be my major. I live in Los Angeles,CA. Can this be done with missing classes due to work?

you need to see how your job will be flexible with your classes. there is only a couple days you can miss in class before you are dropped. you can also try online classes. maybe work can schedule you to work around the days you have to go to class.
