What Online High School Program is affordable?

Am looking for an distance learning program for extra courses that doesn't cost over $500.

I know about:
Penn Foster
Continental Academy
First Coast Academy
Citizens
Keystone
Compuhigh

aren't there any other online high schools with good standing?

Take a look at K12.com and see if they offer a virtual academy in your state, and if they do, see if it includes high school. They are free if it's available where you live.

Edit: In my state (Ohio), they do offer high school classes. In some states, they only do K-8.

First day of high school outfit?

Hey guys can you please make me a first day of school outfit? I was gonna wear this:
http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=23733 81
But i'm scared that it's gonna be too hot to wear the sweater. I live on the West Coast so if it's not gonna be too hot, let me know so I can wear it, otherwise please make me a new outfit. .

+I'm for sure gonna get the bag, so if you could incorporate that into your outift, that would be great. =]

Links would be much appreciated. =]

Thanks!
I already have the phone. [=
Ignore the leg warmers and shoes, I'm not going to wear those. Just focus on the bag, sweater and jeans. Thanks!
How about this outfit instead?

How to get into "A" school for the Coast Guard?

I know I can get in because I got my high school diploma with high scores, I'm fit, and I'm 6'1"

What would I need to do to become a rescue swimmer for the coast guard?
I know you go to basic first but then what, do you go straight to "A" school right away or do you have to wait because I've heard there's a 2-year waiting list.

Talk to a recruiter, they can give you the best answers. I'm not super familiar with the airdale programs, but basically, after you graduate, you go to your assigned unit. There is a small possibility that that will be an Air Station, if not, you will need to request transfer to the Airman program. That will mean you transfer to an operational Air Station and join their training program for a minimum of four months. Once you are deemed worthy by your command, you will be put on the AST 'A' School waiting list. Currently, the wait is less then six months, which usually means you ship out as soon as a class convenes. The course is four months with an additional three week EMT 'C' School directly following.
So, if the stars align, you could, in theory, be at 'A' School in less then five months after graduating boot camp.

The huge majority of our people come in under an open contract - the VERY few that don't, only get to go FS (cook) and OS (radio operator). For the 99+% of the rest, after six months (if they've kept their nose clean and didn't get into trouble), they get advanced to E-3, and THEN they get to put their names on an A School waiting list (as long as they are qualified for the school by ASVAB scores, color vision, physical requirements as well as some other stuff). Once their time to go is there, they take off to A School - and this time may be anywhere from two months to over a year and a half.

We have two types of rescue swimmers - one is a collateral duty on Cutters and at Stations, who will splash if needed (and ordered to!!). The full time version is AST, the folks you saw on the movie "The Guardian". These guys (and gals) apply for the Airman program, and once picked up for it (as long as they meet the ASVAB/physical and vision requirements), will transfer to an Air Station that has an opening and then train in the aviation field. After at LEAST six months (more in most cases), they will go to AST training. Keep in mind that AST is the hardest rating for which to qualify - and has the highest rate of failures!!

AST A School (actually, NONE of the aviation ratings) can be guaranteed for new enlistees, so you have no choice but to wait for it.

Good luck!!

  • 2010's dumbest criminals in the First Coast | jacksonville.com

Crime rates rise and fall, but one cadre of criminals manages to rack up impressive numbers annually. Dim-bulb lawbreakers remain steadfast in their work, according to the observations of Times-Union crime writers. Whether in their own cars, someone else's home or in public view, these bumblers refuse to go unnoticed. We think you will agree they deserve their well-won recognition as 2010's Dumbest Criminals.

    Multitasking

"He drinks, he drives, he texts, he swims!" a reporter noted about a man arrested this month after police responded to a crash in which a sport-utility vehicle was submerged in a retention pond.

As rescue workers were beginning a search for survivors, a voice across the water called out that no one else was inside the SUV.

Interviewed by police, the man said he had been drinking at home, then went to a bar and was texting while driving after leaving the Jacksonville lounge. That's when he literally went into the drink. The next thing he remembered was swimming to shore.
