Girls School

next year im going to an all girls school, about half the kids will be new like me.. and i am wondering about any tips on making new friends and being popular. i know that being popular is kinda of a big deal for me as i was at my old school. any tips? going into 9th grade

just b urself and if ppl dont like u for tat then they dont like you and if u a freshman it is really hard to make friends bt u will get friends wit in the year

Girls School by Wings.

uh...my dad wants me to go to this girls college...and i really don'T want to..not because its a girls school, but cuz that school freaks he hell outta me....but i donno how to tell him...he's a strict daddy...

and the probleme is that he thinks that im a boy obbssesd...but im not...and don't want him to think that, but i can't tell him cuz we don't talk about that....

I think you should swallow the lump in your throat and just come straight out with how you feel to your dad. It's hard, but it's the best thing to do, because he needs to know how you feel and what worries you, and you need to stop bottling it up inside or you could end up miserable. Just explain that his fears are unfounded and tell him what you would like to do.

About all-girls' high schools. I went to one, and I wouldn't have had it any other way. It was great. You know why? Because it made girls seem really important, as if we really did matter; and it built our confidence. Nearly all the teachers were female too, and the environment was fantastic. We didn't have all that stuff with boys to cope with, and it meant we had peace to study. It took so much pressure off, and I don't feel I missed a thing by going. It was all gains.

Anyway, do try to talk with your dad about this, and I wish you lots of happiness in your future education.

PS I didn't become a lesbian, and there wasn't a single person in my class who did :)

I go to an all guys school where the majority of the students came from private school. The problem is that I went to public middle school and because of that I only know public school girls. I had no trouble making friends at my hs, but am finding it hard to make friends that are girls at the neighboring all girls school. Any advice? Preferable not rude stuff

Get a mate who knows some girls from the girls school and suggest you all hang out somewhere together :P

There is a girl who goes to college with my little sister at Wellesley (an all girls college). Upon being accepted, she was a female. However, during her sophomore year she began taking male hormones and is planning on getting her sex changed and considers herself a male. Can the school kick her out?

I would think once he is officially a he, he will have to move to a co-ed college. However, he may graduate before this happens.

I know it use to be an all girls school then maybe a military school. It is old and has a stone veranda that has the best views of the bridge over bosphorus that lights up. I can not remember the name of the place!!
